Lynnie ah i thought you used the net on the train thus the blackberry- sorry! i think you've justified the iphone totally now ;)

Im definitely into doign a good bit of research alright- and am terrible at the follow through too!!!

Nah im not going to get new running shoes yet coz mine seem fine so far and if im actually going to get into running id rather do it a few weeks first and know more for what im looking for in a new runner!

on the stretches ive heard its very bad to do stretches straight away without warming up for 5 mins as the muscles are cold and are more prone to pulling/tearing which makes sense to me- before i would have thought you should stretch at the VERY beginning...
im not sure now what to think either!

Lynnie - oh ok, maybe your toenails are too long then. 2 sizes bigger is probably a bit too big.... Size 3 feet are so cute :)

Ha ha Lynnie-the toenail thing is hilarious!

Yay for everyone on getting going. LMW I'm like you getting back on track again, so hopefully we'll stick it out this time! Well done Blue on day2!

On the blister thing, I get blisters if I don't wear sports socks. Get great sport ankle socks in Penney's recently and they're fab...don't fall down at all and never get a blister with them. Only about €3-4 for 3 pairs too, so happy days!

Lynnie, it was the main reason for me living there, the use of the track would keep me in shape...I wish!!! Only time I've used that pitch is when the boys are playing football in the pitch in the middle of it...and even then I've sat on it!!!

Didn't run last night either...I'm brutal! I did cycle and cross train though...but I'll get back on track (mwah hahahaha - pun) soon!!!

Aha, gotcha now Blue. Ummm would your support for me having an iPhone abate if I said I have a laptop and a mobile internet connection to use on the train? ;) *Say no, say no...*

Ha ha LMW, puntastic! And sure if you're cycling and using the cross-trainer it still counts. Way more than using the couch and the local Indian take-it-away's phone number and a red wine glass, which I may or may not have done last night.

W1D2 for me today, legs are still achey from Day 1 (whinge, moan) and have to go out a bit earlier than I'd like so won't have the cover of darkness to hide the paint all over my trackie bottoms. Seriously, like, could I not just have used ONE pair for decorating?!

day 2 isn't that bad at all honest Lynnie- my muscles are achy a bit but nothing sore!

are you looking for an excuse to buy some new gym gear ;)
and heres you TOTAL justificaiton for your iphone- carrying the weight of your handbag AND laptop is terrible for your shoulders and posture- iphone would solve that easily ;) hehe

ive been terrible at scoffing chocolate all this week- im just gona end up getting fit and not losing any weight if I carry on..

lmw not like you sat around all evening is it- cycling crosstraining and running is probably all a bit too much in 1 go anyway?!

sweetie i think it would be nice to run in the rain actually (as long as its not driving hailstones hurty rain!!) but obviously dry is nicer! no excuses now we're expecting a full update tomorrow ;) (is the guilt working hehe)

morning ladies,

how is the running going for everyone that's started? I did W1D2 last night, bleepin blister is so sore despite blister plaster & 2 pairs of socks. Does anyone keep getting a stitch esp in first few runs...tried deep breathing during the walking bit but still get them. I was a bit bold & instead of the cool down I ran solid for the 6mins at the end. Its only cos I felt able to as I do a lot of swimming & cycling so felt fit enough. I was a state when I finished...my face was literally purple & sweaty..nice!

Anyhoo, it's FRIDAY & I'm so happy it is!

Yay - did W4D2 last night and it was way better than day1 where I must admit I struggled a bit! I think all those carbs I've been eating the last couple of days gave me loads of energy last night...so proud of me :D I did forget to stretch though afterwards-oops! Hopefully I'll get D3 done over the weekend!
Kelly, ya I got a stitch alright occasionally the first time I did it. I don't know if its because you're new to running & you're using the new muscles? Poor u too with the blister...not nice! Give it a bit of air over the wkend & hopefully that'll quicken up the healing.
I'm with u on the sweaty red face though...I wasn't looking me bestest after my run last night
