Essential Products for a Sun Holiday? Help...

Postby Jona » Mon Mar 19, 2012 11:01 pm

Hi Girls, I'm looking for some serious help here. I'm going on holidays next week with my husband & 4 young children.... and our friends with their two kids. This is my first holiday where I am not pg or b'feeding and I want to get a bit of Beauty swagger back!! What are the 'Must have products' I should bring?? I bought a new beautiful Marc Jacobs for the pool to load with stuff... Help! What are the best Hair Products, lip balms, after sun cream etc...
Would love any help you guys can give me.

Many Thanks
Jona xx

oh i love a sun hol! I'd recommend you to get mac prep+prime primer with spf50 for night-time if you will be wearing makeup. its great to put on if you're heading to dinner before the sun goes down instead of ordinary suncream. i always bring multi-use makeup products like benetint from benefit as it can be used on cheeks and lips for a bit of colour. i like mac lip conditioner too but it can get a bit soft if your bringing it to the beach. and a waterproof mascara is great too! for my hair i always use Mark Hill Travel Size Holiday Hair Sun Protector Spray SPF6, you can get it in boots for a couple of euro! Enjoy your holiday! :D

Hiya Jona, i love clarins sun wrinkle control cream for my face in factor 30,its really light n smells so good!i always pack a light foundation or tinted moisturiser iv heard great things about the estee lauder daywear plus tinted moisturiser maybe give something like that a go?
Def bring a nice bronzer- rimmel sun shimmer is great its cheap n cheerful n gives a great glow! i also love high beam by benefit on tanned holiday skin,i always use that! Also i love dark browns n gold eye shadows with the tanned look, mac or urban decay do lovely pallets with those sort of colours.
I usually bring an instant fake tan for the first few evenings something like rimmel sun shimmer that washes off the next morning, just to take the eerie Irish glow off my skin while out at night!!
Also bring some mousse for your hair, a defrizz balm like john frida frizz ease and looooads of hair clips, hair ties n head bands! sometimes n the heat you just get fed up of trying to make your hair stay normal-think monica from friends when she went on holidays!! Not a good look!! Those bun things you get in pennys at the moment are so handy f you have long hair.
As a matter of interest where are you going on holiday?F its somewer like the canaries or spain id suggest buying the sun block and things like that over there you can get really cheap local sun blocks in the super markets that work just as good! I think i paid €4 for a factor 30 that was brilliant!
Have a great holiday!! :D
