Christmas Decorations!.... Too soon?

We're doing a gold and silver theme this year. Have loads of gold already so just need some silver stuff. Homebase in Liffey Valley have some nice stuff (and some AWFUL tacky stuff) in. I love christmas decorating, I especially love the dangling fairy lights for windows, you know the curtain-y ones?

What are you going for this year and is anyone making their own? I really wish I had a talent for crafts because I see people doing lovely stuff on Pinterest but unfortunately I'm not that creative!

I haven't gotten one thing yet for Christmas! I need to get myself in gear.. I'd love to do something like a winter wonderland theme. Blues and silvers and little white fairy lights everywhere. My house will end up looking like a grotto.

I bought some hand made decorations at a craft fare last week; wee gingerbread men crying awat with sad faces and bits off their heads joints bitten off. Okay, I know I am a meanie but believe me they were too dote not to take home

I adore Christmas but won't put up my decorations before the 8th! Must get some more fairy lights this year actually.

I'm trying to find little potted trees to put outside my front door and put fairy lights in them too (the little battery operated ones). I had one last year and it looked lovely.

I'm getting into the Christmas mood now - have just ordered a few pressies from Amazon and have my Christmas and porter cakes in the oven!
