Sulphate free shampoo&conditioner

Postby Twinksbajingo » Fri Nov 18, 2011 6:05 pm

Happy Friday Ladies & Gentleladies,
Question for y'all. I recently got an Ybera 16 week blowdry and the salon advised to use sulphate free shampoo & conditioner for the duration of the 16 weeks. I purchased said prouducrs in the salon on the day and they advised they would last the 16 weeks. They will not (I am heavy handed with the old shampoo & cond). At 20 squid a bottle each, I'm looking for a cheaper alternative so if anyone has any suggestions I'd be delira and excira if ye could advise! I live in Limerick so that's where I'll be looking. I'm gonna check out Sally Salon supplies over the weekend anyway. Thanks everyone!

Twinksbajingo (love love love the name. Hilarious) I've a noting that the new Tigi bed head catwalk collection is sulphate and paraben free. I had the curl one recently and really like it and they sell it in Sally's cos I got mine in there. I'm sure they'd be able to advise if they don't have that one though. Or else the Liz Earle stuff is sulphate free as far as I know but a pain to get cos its only available online.

How's the blow dry wearing? Considering it myself at the moment.

Tigi is sulphate free for def, they're changing the packaging so a lot of it can be found in TK Maxx for €6.99 each at the moment - I availed myself of some. I also got a gift of the Liz Earl stuff recently, it's actually very nice and is also SLS free, the conditioner is more of a stand out and the shampoo is more clarifying that the TIGI one. My mum got it off QVC and I don't think it broke the bank tbh.

How is the hair do working out?? xx

Go to TKK Maxx for shampoo.

they have more expensive brands at a cheaper price. You can get those massive 1litre bottles of shampoo that will last you longer than 16weeks!

Yes you can get sulphate free shampoo and conditioner there. But you need to read the bottles of course :)

Your local Elf shop (alright..Health shop) will stock lots of brands, all sulfate free. Green People and Trilogy are very well respected. (It's amazing how many people go through hell seeking expensive cures for flaky, itchy scalps, when all they need do is ditch the SLS in their shampoo!)

Elave do a great SLES/SLS free shampoo and conditioner for about €7 per 250ml bottle and they're easy to get in any pharmacy.

My hair looks great when I use them.

Ye are absolutely brillo pad Ladies! That was my first time posting a question in the forums and I'll have ye inundated with questions now :D.
The Ybera 16 week blow dry is great. You can wash your hair the day after if you like and there's none of this messing with not putting it behind your ears, using hair ties etc. I bought a voucher on Living Social. It cost €119 for Headmasters in Limerick city but if I go back before the 16 weeks are up, they'll keep doing it for €150. I think the full price when not on offer is going to be €180.I have shortish hair, in a graduated bob and had to straighten my hair every morning as it's kinky baby. This is a bleedin' lifesaver. Sometimes I go into work with a wet head and stick my hair under the handdryer in the bog when I go in and it still turns out the finest! Best investment ever. Had been wanting to do it for ages but was too scaby to pay €300 or whatever other places are charging. Cant vouch for this enough.
