Career Advice

Postby CiB » Wed May 30, 2012 9:58 pm

Hi there,

I am thinking of going to a career advice clinic/councillor so am wondering if anyone here can recommend a person to go to in the Dublin/Kildare area. I'm in my 20s and completely at a loss as to what to do with my life career wise. I've an arts degree and have been working for a few years but I really want to move on to something that could become a career rather than just a job, or even just to something I enjoy. I'm in a slump at the moment in my life and I think starting to make a move towards a more satisfying job/course would really help but I really need some advice or guidance.

All recommendations would be really appreciated.

Thanks
CiB

I found myself in a similar slump years ago so I went back and did nursing. I love the career progression prospects in it, I've never had that in a job before. Whatever you decide just get some experience before committing. I did a pre nursing course and did some elective work experience. I found that places were more than willing to let me shadow them. Best of luck.
