I'm starting week 5 today. Its going to happen!
I started with week 4 you see, as I'd done it before and with one thing and another fell off the wagon at week 5 or 6. Was doing a bit then every now & again but not following a program as such so I decided to start back at week 4. The first week of week 4 I only did 2 days and found it tough enough going so I decided to repeat week 4 which I did last week and starting week 5 today. Hopefully I won't find it too difficult, but I'll try it and I can always do like I did with week 4...just do week 5 twice before moving onto week 6. It may mean slower progress but it'll still be progress. Plus I'm travelling with work at the moment so it limits my time a bit more...more running in Paris tonight. :D

hi ladies, I started w3 yday & its actually not too bad even though you're running for 3mins flat out. Did it in the rain also but it was kinda nice on the down side my nice new runners are now brownish from all the puddles on the towpath.

keep up the good work girls.. :-)

Yay - well done Kelly! such a good feeling when you've completed it and its not as bad as you think...it's like "I must be...getting fit!!!"
I did W5D1 last night and was petrifed of it, but it was actually grand! I really enjoyed it and felt a million eurobucks after. My face however was a very red colour for a looong time! I don't know if I'm getting that much fitter - the numerous rest days & carbs consumed definately helped too. Might try & do W5D2 this evening.
Dewy, having a running partner definately makes you get out anyway cos you don't want to let them down by not going and they're the same so yay! Go with your partner. Good luck with week3!

Hi girls I got a book called running made easy so am following that in the gym, im still on first week which is 5 min warm up walk then 60 secs running 3 mins walking and so on, its not too unlike the couch to 5k! I've lost a stone over the last couple of months by just eating better and exercising but i feel like im at a standstill now too, still doing the same things but weight doesn't seem to be budging, its not going back up either though which is a good thing so I suppose i'll just keep going and see! Startin gthe 2nd week of running next week so i'll come back and let ye know how its going...

w3d1 yest was hard enough actually- but I made it through! never thought the 3 mins would end lol - i ended up going on my own yesterday but its back with a work colleague again next week so should keep me motivated I hope!

daisy there is a couple of threads of plateauing on a certain weight over on the myfitnesspal.com forums...

sweetie how do you do 2 days in a row?! rest days are vital for me coz I just don't feel like id be able for it even mentally!

Didn't do W5D2 til Saturday. Was good though, not as tough as I imagined. Stuffed with a bloody headcold again now so dunno when I'll get to do W5D3, which is a 20min run  Don't want to leave it too long but it'll prob be Weds at this rate, when I've recovered a bit and I've a dinner thing tomor night.

Dewy & Kelly, well done on week 3 - I think it's the biggest "jump" so far anyway, as you've the longer runs. Sometimes the days you think are going to be the hardest aren't too bad at all, and the day's you think you'l manage ok can be tough! Depends on rest days, food intake, and loads of factors I suppose.

Anyway...we seem to be making progress - keep it up - we'll be fab & fighting fit come Christmas!!

well done ladies...we all seem to be getting there! I've w4d1 tomo with the 5min runs but reckon I should be ok. I did my run on the threadmill on sat as it was raining & I'd a body pump class after my run so didn't want going in with wet runners! It was so diff running on threadmill..sweated a lot more sorry if thats TMI..but maybe its cos I had the speed at 10 that it made me run quicker.

I know all about the weight plateau ladies..been 10st for month now & not a sign of it to budge despite exercising 5/6 days a week & eating healthily. Reckon the only way I'll lose it is if I stop drinking  & lets be honset that ain't gonna happen anytime soon, lifes too short! :D

Jeez to think a month ago we'd be running like we are now!

Just finished W3D2 there- and it was grand! maybe coz i chatted to running partner (who I've never run with before and he was clearly v fit coz w3 was way too little for him!) - but so agree some days you think will be deadly (like I thought today would be) and they're grand and other days are so hard...I always feel it more at the end of the week probably coz I'm more tired!

I run SO slowly so I'd imagine the treadmill makes you work harder alright Kelly!

I wish I could say I'm plateauing- baking that carrot cake last week had added 3 lbs in ONE week  (well ok that and all the other crap too lol)

B/f said my backside has defo gotton smaller though hehe!

Heres a plateau thread on myfitnesspal that might be of interest to you...http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show ... th-warning
Kelly you sound like you're really going for it- maybe you're just not eating enough calories you're burning during exercise?
