Anyone doing the liberties fun run on July 19th? 6.5k is a lovely distance I think and the route looks really interesting too....looking forward to it.

Took the plunge and signed up for the 5K Reindeer run in Fota in November. Motivation to actually reach my 5K goal well before Christmas. I'm on week 5 of C25K so I just need to keep going now. It's for a great cause too - RNLI so I'm actually looking forward to it.

There's a 5k in Dublin and some other cities around the country on Wednesday 14th Nov - running in the dark. It's in support of the para-olympian Mark Pollock and his charities.
There's loads of Christmas 5k's in December too - santa dashes and jingle bells which are always fun!

Completed my first 5K run at the weekend in Fota. I did it in under 40 which is what I was aiming for but the conditions were horrendous. I had mud up to my knees. horrible! Looking forward to planning my next one though.

Congrat Aifs...great feeling to have one under the belt; they're great fun too, especially the 5k's I think! I did the "Run in the Dark for Mark" recently and it was a great buzz. Hoping to sign up for another one or two over the next few weeks to make sure I keep getting out an odd evening! I've no motivation if I haven't something to aim for!
