Hi girls!! I'm back from holidays and am full of motivation (putting on 7 lbs in 3 weeks will do that me!!). I've enjoyed the bank holiday weekend but am ready to start again from tomorrow!

Ye are doing so well - am very impressed - hopefully I can follow in your footsteps.

I did a big shop in Tesco today and picked up lots of fruit which I'm going to chop up and freeze tonight in individual bags for smoothies. And a whole heap of veg for soup now that we have the microwave back in work.

I'm going back pole dancing on Wednesday and doing Zumba on Saturday, hopefully I'll get two runs in this week aswell.

There's 8 weeks til Christmas- by then I'd like to loose 10 pounds, be able to go upside on the pole with no help (need some serious work on my upper body!!) and run 10K (nonstop, no walking). Hopefully by writing them down it'll give me even more motivation.

I've started back doing the C25K last night and felt great. My fitness has improved. I've been getting up early to walk the dog too which is good for both of us and I have my swim gear for the gym tonight. Looking forward to it. Oh gosh, since I came home I have been doing NOTHING. Nothing. I'm working in retail and have to stand for 8 hours a day, so when I get home my feet are far too tired to go for a run. I shall go to Body combat on Monday though, or something like that as I've a day off. And I'll just try and get up early and go before work a few other days a week I suppose.

I've been getting up for walks with the dog and she's joined me on c25k again. Only done 2 days of that so far but hope to do week 1 day 3 today. I did my Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown again last night. I find it really good. Don't know about toning and stuff but it should be doing something. I can feel it today. Must keep going but need to stop eating crap as well.

Hi all,
Hope your fitness journeys are going well. Thought I'd commit myself to this thread before the extreme Christmas dining kicks off! Lol
I was originally devoted to the couch25k, but that system turned out not to be feasible for my geographical location . . . .i.e i live in the countryside, with no street lamps, so couldn't run in evenings at all, for fear of being clobbered! Suppose i could have driven to a place that was well lit up, but that would have defeated the purpose really.

So, I joined a gym Instead, and last week got a personal trainer to do up a plan for me.
3 day intense workout, then break . . . . just completed week one and to say I'm in pain would be an understatement :)
but so good, so far. I'm going to enjoy the few days off and then back to the grindstone.

How is everyone else doing? Would love to know as I feel everyone else's endeavours would motivate me to no end. Also, have you altered your diet to accommodate your new fitness regime?

Sooooooo . . . . how is everyone doing??!

I have been doing my gym plan religiously, i have been really motivated to exercise. Although, the healthy eating plan not going so well. Really trying to avoid the bad stuff, but as the rule goes, once it's in the house, I'm going to eat it . . . . if not now, then eventually. :D

I suppose once Christmas is over, and all the stuff is gone it won't be as difficult. ;)

Snowdrop - fair play, I have not done a tap in ages! My gym has closed for over the Christmas and I've just been eating in rings round myself, stocktake in work the next few days so no hope of coming round to healthy eating while I'm at that but I'll get my bum in gear next week (or should I say next year - how will it be 2012 already?!)

Hey Gee Gee

Ah shure feck it like, it christmas after all. I'm desperate for eating crap when i'm a) working or b) studying . . .it's inevitable as you'd be wrecked otherwise :?

Rage about your gym though, I'm lucky that mine is open almost everyday, bar 25th/26th dec and new years day :D
I did my last day of the week today, feel i'm getting fitter . . . but still eating like a mad yoke. Between mince pies, chocolate, pizza, taytos, popcorn, quality street, malteasers, coke, pringles, roses (the chocolate kind mind  ), christmas cake, choc biscuits, . . . . . .only tip of the ice berg. Really need to get my act together, as the exercise will be null and void if i keep continuing on this slippery slope :(
