It’s now a firm handbag/coat pocket staple as we wind our way towards December, and leave it to Bobbi Brown to add a touch of subtle glam to this essential item. Lip balm is the item under discussion, and her new Glitter offerings, €21.50 each, are lovely-looking.
Pearl and glitter pigments for light reflection and are found in Crystal diamond, a hint-of-a-tint balm that’s mostly clear, with pink sparkles. Pink Crystal is a soft petal shade and Copper Diamond is a stronger, shimmery brown. Yum.
On counter now, you’ll find them at Brown Thomas and House of Fraser, Dundrum.

these look nice. i must say i’m very experimentative with my eyes but stick to the same old same old with my lips! are these shiny like lip gloss or matte?
oh shiny – pearl and glitter would ensure it!
The pink crystal one is really lovely.
perfect stocking filler too, get hinting!
Ooh, the pink one looks lovely…
They look lovely, but €21.50 for lip balm? Even with glitter? You’ve got to be kidding me…
ah thats not that pricey. compared to creme de la mer lip balm anyway!
i have been hinting already about the mac brush sets, i feel so guilty though…!
Im with you Laineyg. A little pricey…
Nice, as are all the BB cosmetics, but at €21.50, very pricey indeed. I am not in the habit of getting creme de la mer products either
I bought a lovely BB palette of shadows, lipstick and balm from the Cosmetics store in the US last year. For comparison, it was €35 for the lot, and very good it is too.
i think i have an inflated amount that i’ll pay for cosmetics above anything else! i only get high street clothes (and lots of purchases in penneys at that!) but its ‘designer’ cosmetics all the way!
Am I the only one who thinks the make up on yer wan looks ganky? Looks like she’s ready to head onto the set of Eastenders I think! Too much makeup, and WAY too much airbrushing.
My nail polish is the colour of her top (the sleeve area)
Tina10 that’s the first thing I thought, don’t like yer wan’s makeup at all!! Eyeshadow too heavy/dark, cheeks too orange and the lips look a bit dead or something!
Gals, she’s ‘the face’ for BB’s new cooper diamond collection!
apologies.. but nothing about bobbi brown will ever be ‘glam’ to me..
it has to be the most bleugh, meh range ever
grand if you want a brown eyeshadow or 8 or a nude lipstick
I thought the same about her make up – way too mocu.
I do like the colour of her lips though. Sorry Glitter for being McBleugh.
glitter – d’you know what though, I am probably the absolute last person you’d expect to like BB, because I’m really into colour and experimenting, but I just adore her stuff. I use stonewashed nudes and another custom palette on a daily basis; I’m never without her brushes and I would live and die by her creamy concealer. Massive, huge fan I am – the stuff is just excellent.
oh i’m not questioning the quality, admin – i just have a big problem w ‘brown’ make up
a number of years back, a make up artist used brown based colours on my eyes [kind of chestnutty, muck colours] and then used a brown, not nude lippy
i hated this! hated it! i had to argue every time w her afterwards saying that i know ‘brown’ isn’t what i want to wear
and was a right ol’ bee about it
for months she’d
a while back, cleopatra booked a makeover w BB
she started off by saying, ‘jazzy.. i want bright jazzy colours’
now, when i heard that i asked why cleo had booked a BB makeover if she wanted ‘jazzy’
and the MUA just went thro every boring eye colour, to which cleo’s reply was ‘no, do you not have anything bright? colourful?’
i walked off as couldn’t understand why she’d booked BB in first place if she wanted colour…
Tis expensive for a lipbalm! Considering you need to reaply lip balm so often.
Maybe if I wanted to buy meyself a treat after…say.. exams or something…
