I blogged the other day about Aveda Caribbean Body Therapy Body Cleanser, which is a yummy treat. Glitterkitty asked was it foamy and the answer is no – but for an extremely good reason. The stuff that makes things foam is called sodium laurel sulphate which is a shocker of an additive because it causes huge numbers of skin sensitivities and allergies in people who don’t get along with it. So when it’s not in stuff, I’m a happy bunny.
And there are other products in the Caribbean Body Therapy range which are equally as nice (and on the cheap at Strawberrynet, oh YES!), like flower water, body cream and bath soak. Yum!

The Carribean Therapy lotion caused a horrible allergic reaction. DON’T USE IT!!!
CAUSED ME A FULL BLOWN FULL BODY ALLERGIC REACTION!! I’M COVERED IN HIVES AND I SHALL AVOID THIS BRAND FROM NOW ON! AVOID AT ALL COSTS, IF NOT THEN TEST OUT ON SKIN BEFOREHAND!
I bought the lotion over the holidays and used it for approx. 3 days before I realized I am highly allergic- same thing very itchy hives. I have never been allergic to anything except poison ivy-its been a week of steroids from my doctor and benadryl. I would like to know what ingredient is causing this reaction. I have used Aveda in the past and never had a reaction.
