Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily shower and bath gel

molton brown heavenly gingerlilly.jpgWith all our talking about shower gels last week, how ON EARTH did I forget to rave about this one?

Molton Brown is truly a range apart and this bath and shower gel is as fabilis as they come. It’s delicately scented and a rich brown colour in the bottle. As soon as the heat of the water hits it, the fragrance develops and intensifies. Exotic (the ingredients are sourced in Tahiti) and aromatically moisturising, this is deservedly one of MBs bestsellers.

If you’re taking a little trip to Kildare Village, make sure to check out the Molton Brown outlet shop and stock up!

I LOVE Molton Brown. Haven’t used this shower gel before, but now I’m going to have to. Luckily, there’s an MB discount store just 20 mins away from me :)

Here’s a question, now that I think of it. I’m getting married year after next and was thinking of giving MB products to bridesmaids, mothers of bride/groom, etc.

I was at a wedding last year where the couple did that, and it went down a treat.

Do ye think that’s a good idea?

Thankfully we can get molten brown in the west – phew.

Tippy – want to try the Origins Pomergranate wash as I can eat them.

Cheers. I might have to treat myself to a little sample or two while I’m at it ;)

Word of warning me beaut.ies…. Knowing how obsessed I am it, a friend of mine bought me a Heavenly Gingerlily body lotion in Kildare Village and there was almost no smell from it. Very very very disappointing… Brought it into MB in Brown Thomas and the sales assistant agreed with me and exchanged it for another one which smelled fabulous.

  • Tiptoe shortbread says:

wonder had it been opened Lady???

  • Charchar says:

Patsy, just wondering where is that discount store?

I love Molton Brown, and would love to go there and stock up..

  • Ladywanderer says:

I reckon it must have been tiptoe… Don’t know of any other way it could have lost its fab aroma so completely. Oh and another thing I forgot to mention, the assistant at the Outlet Village wouldn’t let my friend buy just the one product, she had to buy a minimum of 2 or she couldn’t avail of the “special” price of the body lotion (I think it was 15.65 or thereabouts)

i *LOVE* Heavenly Gingerlily, got a gorgeous hat-box giftset of the range as a present a few months ago. i swapped the moisture bath on swap siopa though cos i had no bath at the time! :(

thankfully i’ve moved :) just had to because i liked my apartment but really really missed bathing. I’ll have to splash out on a bottle of it again! Tell me ladies, is Kildare Village worth the trip? Would ye consider it worthwhile to dedicate an afternoon to it, besides Molton Brown are the other shops/discounts good?

  • Liz says:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this scent. Got the shower gel, the body moisturiser and the shimmery perfume as a gift, thanks to my lubely husbag :D

Char – the store is in the Lowry Outlet Mall in Manchester, where I’m living at the moment. Got a discount Karen Miller store too, which is just fantastic!

I’ve heard good things about Kildare Village, trilby. My aunt went recently and came back with her credit card practically maxed out. Not sure what shops are there… are they listed online on the website?

  • cathyfly says:

Oh i got a present of this a while ago and haven’t used it yet so I will be opening it up for my very next shower!

  • Ladywanderer says:

    Cathfly – once you’ve Molton Brown-ed you’ll never use anything else :-)

I’m alternatating between the Heavenly Gingerly shower gel and Bliss Lemon and Sage Soapy Sap at the moment, both smell sooo gorgeous. Love the Heavenly Gingerlily body lotion too and the slight shimmer you get with it. Always have a Molton Brown shower gel on the go since I started using it about MB about 18 months ago. I would get red, dry pacthes on my skin, especially the tops of my arms when I came out of the shower but this stopped when I switched to MB. Blissful Templetree is my favourite and the matching body lotion is perfect for summer, very light and cooling.

YES YES YES! Kildare Village is MORE than worth the visit! Think Monsoon, Molton Brown, Clarks, Karen millen, Ralph Lauren, Coast and more at discount prices! How can you go wrong? We live less than half an hour away and go all the time! We’re moving in a week and I doubt we will stop going! I have two toddlers and their normal Clarkes shoes can go up to €50, but I’ve gotten similar shoes at the outlet for €11! It’s a no-brainer. Can’t be beat. As a foodie though, I’d warn you to avoid Dunne and Crescenzi – an overpriced let-down. Tragic compared to their Dublin branches. Go into the town, there are some fabulous places to eat!

I get my Mum Heavenly Gingerlily for Christmas every year- she’d never buy it for herself but she loves the smell. I have the eucalyptus smelling one which is great for the winter when you need some warming (and waking) up on a cold dark morning! Also great if you have a cold :)

Last christmas when I was in BTs Galway with my friend she dropped a bottle of eau de toilette and smashed all over the floor. We thought we were going to get arrested from the way the shop assistant was acting… But the place smelt lovely afterwards :)

  • Fletch says:

BTW- it was Molton Brown eau de toilette, forgot to mention that for the relevance!

  • I Live in Sutton Dublin 13 can you plese tell me where I can purchase molton brown products, I previously bought them in the chemist in sutton

    Thank you

    Frances

  • Huni says:

This is a MUST buy!! Anyone who hasnt tried it yet, I would recommend that you do. The thing that love most about this product is that even after you have washed it off, the smell of it stays on you for ages! Which is great, since it smells absolutely AMAAAAZING!!
