You lot were blathering on Friday about a subject close to my heart – MAC. SJP’s Mole posted up a link to what must be one of the most complete MAC collections I have ever seen (outside of the shops, that is) – it’s absolutely staggering.
The girl who owns it has just a bewildering array of practically everything, and I mean everything, MAC have ever done. I’ve linked to a couple of her pix here, but for the whole shebang, go and have a look for yourself.

Spektra is for blog/forum for MACheads, they are crazy! Every limited edition collection they get everything. I cant see the pics but if its the girl that i think it is, she lives in New York and isnt a makeup artist, She is in her teens/early 20′s!! Its her hobby acording to her! And yes she does have everything!!
I think it means makeup porn! as in, an obesssive love of makeup = makeup porn
That’s a VERY expensive hobby. I don’t think my Saturday job money would have ever stretched that far. Her surname isn’t Hilton is it?

To be honest I think there is something a little pathetic about that – I mean to each their own but that amount of money and space to make up (the vast majority of which she must never touch) seems wrong to me. Thats my tuppence worth

Can’t believe it! Where would you keep all that stuff if you had it!!!! It’s an amazing collection! Whatever you are into though, some people collect stamps, others MAC make up! Don’t knock it!
She worked for MAC for several years, no it isn’t SonRisa, and she IS a makeup artist. Most of it was gratis, though a lot was bought with her discount, and it just happened over the course of almost ten years.
The link has nothing to do with porn, she just called the thread “Hardcore Makeup porn”, maybe because of her obscenely large collection.
Why do people feel the need to judge? It’s a collection like anything else, some people collect Hello Kitty paraphanalia, some people collect baseball cards, and she collects MAC makeup. So what? To each their own.
Each to their own, would love her collection of pigment and glitter, I do think it borders on obsessive but it’s her choice what to spend her money on and fair play to her if that’s what she wants to buy!!

there is lots of girls on that site who arnt pro and have massive collections, there is one girl in particular who i mentioned above that has an unbelievable amount!! I will try and find the link tonight and post tomorrow
On the subject of huge amounts of makeup: My amount is freakin’ massive!! I dont have a digital camera though so i cant post pics
i think i stopped breathing while looking at that, but i have enough of my own obsessions that i shouldn’t pass comment, except that i always hope anyone collecting gets enjoyment out of the stuff as well as out of the buying…
but, where does the idea of makeup expiring/being thrown out for hygiene reasons fit with that kind of collection?
I’m surprised Beaut.ie Crab hasn’t been on to make a pronouncement on this stash!
