Pro Brush Set for €39? It’s got to be a joke, yeah?

japonesqueI did a double take when I looked at this Japonesque Silhouette Brush Set on the HQhair website. €39 for a pro brush set and case? Nah, I thought. That’s obviously for one brush, not the lot. But I was wrong – it doesn’t happen often, but I will admit it when it does.

Nope, that price is for 5 brushes – powder/blush brush, concealer brush, shadow brush, eyeliner brush, and lip brush with cap. You’d pay €40 for a lot of single brushes, so this is truly great value. The brushes come in a nifty little case which also contains space for all your bits and bobs – brilliant for weekends away. I’m impressed!

Same here Red. I’m dubious about this one. Is it a ‘proper’ brand?

Just found a real bargain…Elizabeth Arden set of 5 make-up brushes for £2.19 on FD! http://www.fragrancedirect.co.uk/Cosmetics/Elizabeth-Arden/ElizabethArden-BrushSet-p-8626.html

Also a saving on EA make-up pallette, reduced from €270 to €36.55 (a saving of €234.06)!! What is going on with FD?!
Lots of real bargains at the minute….

That palette sounds/looks great Gio, but I had a quick Google for it and Amazon are selling at pretty much the same price as FD so I’m not sure if the €270 RRP is entirely true, then again, it does look very good value all the same :D

  • Eimear says:

Hmmm…pardon my cynicism, but at that price are they a bit useless?! I bought a couple of Bobbi Brown brushes lately – wow! Really notice the quality. Gorgeous. I love really fab brushes and I think, in my experience anyhow, that when you shell out for something top notch it makes a big difference. That said, I haven’t tried anything at the bargain end of the scale. Anyone tried these brushes?

  • deisegirl says:

Not sure if anyone reads the comments from this far back *echo echo* but I was looking on Make Up Alley the other day and Japonesque brushes got a lot of favourable reviews. Won’t be buying myself as I’m on an economy drive at the moment but just thought I’d let ye know…
