If the General Election was to be fought and won based on sarky comments, it’s fair to say Pat Rabbitte would be the out and out winner, way before polling day. His hatred for Michael McDowell knows no bounds and he wasn’t content with accusing him of ‘being so far up Bertie’s anorak he’d never be able to extricate himself‘ – oh no. Last night during the first Leaders Debate on RTE’s Prime Time programme he accused Mr McDowell of being like ‘a menopausal Paris Hilton – an inveterate attention-seeker‘. ZING!

A few years ago at a meeting these two satrted to have a differece of opinion (in other words a hugh row). The row finished with one saying ‘you’re so far up X’s arsh that ye are now face to face ‘ – didn’t know where to look.

I love the elections as well. Can’t be listening to it all the time though.
