Sneaky Peek: New Lancome Teint Idole Silky Mat Mineral Foundation

Out in March, Lancome's new Teint Idole Silky Mat Mineral Foundation with SPF16 is a new-gen treatment foundation that sounds like it's gonna do the business for oily gals or, in fact, anyone who likes their slap to stay precisely where it's put.  For 18 hours, apparently - but we'll have to try it to see if that'll be the case. Lancome also say it's going to be suitable for all skin types, even those with sensitivities.

With a mix made of a high percentage of water and a mineral complex, the foundation is designed to be weightless, pore- and line-smoothing, with the ability to keep skin hydrated and matte. We're promised a finish that's "silky-soft and light-infused, but never powdery," and they say skin's appearance will improve over time, too, doing a clinical trial to prove the claim.  42 women used the product for a month and said that after four weeks skin was 12% visibly smoother, imperfections were 10% less visible and their complexions were radiant.

I'm looking forward to this, I must say - while not generally a fan of matte bases, I am all for foundations that do more than add a colour component. The hydration and non-powdery finish are ticking my boxes for a base that'll hopefully be great for a glam retro look. The damage? It'll come in at €30 and six shades will be on offer.
