Because For Sure I am Worth It

loreal pure zoneTowards the end of last month I ran out of my usual trusty Vichy Normaderm Cleansing Gel and was too tightfisted to shell out €15 for another bottle when things like bus fares and eating had to be taken into account. So after a lunchtime perusal of the cosmetics aisle in my nearest Dunnes, I picked up a bottle of L'Oreal Pure Zone Deep Purifying Gel Wash - with Isobacter Technology. Oh yes? I love this made up science stuff they try to blind us with. Apparently Isobacter 'technology' uses Salicylic acid to help fight imperfections. Salicylic acid is actually used in anti-acne preparations so I guess there is logic in this made up innovation name of L'Oreal's.

All that aside, what's it like? The end result isn't all that different from my usual Normaderm to be honest, my skin is clear and hormonal breakouts aside, blemish free. Downsides are it doesn't smell as nice, and the pump dispenses way too much product, meaning it foams a lot on your face and gets into your mouth if you're not careful. I stopped pumping so hard and started dispensing about half the amount it'd usually pump out. That seems to work pretty well.

So, if you're looking for a good anti-blemish gel wash to use daily, you could do worse than this one. And it's also pretty cheap - I think it was in and around five-six quid, and judicious pumping would probably get you a couple of months use.
