They're cheap and they're brill: Beaut.ie picks Ten things for a tenner

budget buys

The first five of the "Ten Things for a Tenner" were featured on Xpose last night - and as promised here's the full details.

1 NUBAR NAIL POLISH
This is a professional range available at salons - but unlike most salon ranges it's affordable at less than a tenner a bottle. Importantly it's 3 Free - no nasties like formaldehyde and a couple of other things I can't pronounce.
There's a great range of shades and good lasting power.

Where: Salons nationwide, or online
Price: €9.50
What does it compare to? It's up there with more expensive salon ranges like Essie and OPI

2 ELF STUDIO BLUSH
Elf stands for eyes, lips and face and is a great range that should be in every recessionista's makeup bag. The blusher that we were talking about is Candid Coral - it's a really nice shade, quite sheer so you can build up the colour gradually - ideal if you're nervous of using blusher

Where: online from eyeslipsface.co.ukPrice: €4
What does it compare to? The shade is similar to Nars Orgasm

3 ELF STUDIO SHIMMER PALETTE
This is amazing value: highlighters are often expensive and this packs in four cream shades
Really easy to use and blendable. Use it on cheek bones/ cupids bow/ decollete etc

Where: online (see above)
Price: €4

4 CATRICE ALL ROUNDER
Judging by your comments so far this is something that you all want to get your paws on! Everyone is busy leaving comments on our Facebook page to say where it's available - if you've spotted it head over to Facebook and share the love! Three concealers and two colours make this a lovely blendable concealer kit

Compares to: same level of coverage as Touche Eclat – quite light, not a heavy duty concealer
Where: some Dunnes and selected pharmacies nationwide (Go to our Facebook page to let us know if you've spotted it)
Price: €3.49
Can I read a review? Yes, Kirstie has one coming up later on today

5 RIMMEL COLOUR SHOW OFF
Brand new from Rimmel Colour Show Off lipsticks are matte shades which are bang on trend at the moment (it's hard to get good mattes on a budget). They're long lasting (you can kiss all the boys you like with this one on!) and excellent value.

Compares to: matte lipsticks from much more expensive brands like Mac, for example. The Rimmel red here is very similar to Mac's cult Ruby Woo shade.
Where: Everywhere
Price: €7.22
Can I read a review?: Yes, we've got one here
