Beaut.ie How To: Get Jennifer Aniston's 'The Switch' Make-Up

get jennifer aniston's the switch look

Watching 'The Switch' a couple of weeks ago, I was really taken with Jennifer Aniston's make-up in the movie. For the most part, it was all gorgeous luminous skin and soft neutral everything else, but there was one scene in particular - in a café, I think - where Jen's eye make-up was a wee bit different and seriously made her eyes pop.

It's a dead easy one to DIY, and works just as well on green and hazel eyes as it does on baby blues. Grab a shimmery mid-grey eyeshadow and blend across the lid, into the crease, being sure not to leave any harsh edges. I've been using Rimmel Glam Rock, applied with a very light hand, or the sparkly grey of my well-worn Lancome Night & Day Color Focus duo for this job. Pair with a dark teal eyeliner along the upper lashline: if you have a Lancome Le Crayon Khôl Gloss in Pop Petrol from their Ô My Rose! collection hanging around, it's absolutely perfect for this job.

The teal adds depth and a bit of drama, and is what lifts this subtle eye out of the realm of the ornery, and using a pencil rather than gel or liquid liner keeps things smudgeable - you want to avoid a very graphic, definite line. You can either leave the lower lashline alone or define with a small amount of your chosen grey eyeshadow.
