Magpies everywhere rejoice, for I bring you more tidings of digit glitter.
Maybelline have waded into the sequin fray with their Color Show Brocades. These sparkly babies are designed to be worn alone or as a shimmering top coat.
One of these will set you back €5.99 and come in four party shades - Foil Flash, Knitted Gold, Rosie Rosette and Woven Skyline.
One coat of a Brocade over another polish will add a soft, glitter dimension to the nail. But what I love about this collection is that each shade can act as a stand alone polish. Two to three coats gives full colour pay off, perfect for the party season.
Foil Flash is a bright silver with beautifully round metallic glitters scattered through the polish. It looks like a manicure of polka dot snowflakes.

Knitted Gold gives an antique gold hue, with a few coats turning your fingers into something Shirley Bassey would be proud of.
I would describe Rosie Rosette as a cherry pink and the glitter factor in this is maybe the most subtle of the quartet.
And finally, Woven Skyline is a strong gunmetal grey with more sparkle than Liberace's jewellery box.

For an easy to apply and gentle nod to the festive season, I'd recommend giving these a whirl.
