Oopsie: "Misleading" Estée Lauder Ad Banned

Apart from also being in the beauty business, what do you reckon Estée Lauder have in common with GHD and L'Oreal? Well, they too have had an ad banned by the UK's Advertising Standards Authority. An ad for their Tri-Aktiline wrinkle treatment which claimed that the product was actually magic would cause wrinkles to disappear instantly was deemed to be misleading, while the clinical evidence provided in support of the claim was ruled insufficient by the regulator.

The ASA investigated and took action following a complaint made by a customer who bought Tri-Aktiline Instant Deep Wrinkle Filler and (presumably) thought it didn't actually do what it said on the tin, which just goes to show that it's worth making a fuss if you reckon that something's not up to scratch!
