Star Bright fluorescent pressed powder from Stargazer: radioactive and proud

There's always a big queue for the till in New Look isn't there? No wonder cos everything is so high fashion and dirt cheap. So when they put stands beside the till full of false eyelashes and eyeshadows they kind of have a captive audience with the till queue don't they? And you've already saved so much money (so goes the justification) a little makeup splurge is totally within your remit.

The Stargazer stand will, I repeat will catch your eye. This is not a brand for the fainthearted. Lurid colours in the Fluorescent Pressed Powder range, intensely bright pinks, yellows, blues and greens simply scream "Buy Me! Try Me!"

The shade I picked up is optimistically entitled Forest Green. If ever anything in a forest was this colour it would have just been treated to an unhealthy dose of radiation. It is the brightest neontastic green in the universe.

The colour is great and perfectly matte - but quite talc-y in consistency. So make sure to use primer to glue the shadow in place or it will flake down over your face.

Teamed with orange nails, after a two day migrane it cheered me right up.

Next up I definitely want to try out the Diamond Eyeliner. In fact I feel quite giddy thinking about it.

Cheap stuff rocks. Pick this up from New Look for a couple of your finest Euro
