All Saints' modern take on Like a Prayer is . . . interesting

Well, this will actually lift your spirits of a Wednesday afternoon: All Saints have just contributed their own cover of Madonna's Like a Prayer for Radio 2's 80s album Vol 2.

It's very different, and, okay, let's just admit it; it's nowhere near as good. Granted, nothing could ever match or even compare to Madonna's epic and now iconic original, but it's got some chilled out 'Beach'-y vibes that true All Saints fans will appreciate, and they've certainly put their own spin on it, which can't have been easy to do.

With a hit like 'Never Ever' under their belt (which they'll be getting mileage out of for years to come), if this is a sign of things to come for the 90s quartet's return to the airwaves, along with their album Red Flag, we'll keep listening.

Elsewhere on the album, 80s enthusiasts can look forward to modern takes on Cindy Lauper's Time after Time from Leona Lewis, some of Kate Bush's finest work as well as recordings from Will Young, Charlie Puth and more.
