Trend Watch: Best of the High Street for the Shade of SS15

Spring time always comes with a pastel palette, and this year the focus is very much on pink.

The soft shade made a catwalk comeback and aside from the fact it is incredibly sweet and appropriate for warmer weather, it's a colour that has more shades than Christan Grey; we don't have to limit ourselves to baby pink, we can check out the brighter hues too. Celeb land has been a huge fan of pink lately and we only have to look to awards season for proof.

Gwyneth, Zoe and Diane love their pink! Gwyneth, Zoe and Diane love their pink!

From the Oscars to the Elle Style Awards, the lighter shades of pink dominated in various silhouettes.

My favourite has to be Diane Kruger who never fails in the style stakes. Her frilly pink number at last week's Elle Style Awards was one of the winning looks, simply because it stays true to her personal style, on which she never wavers. So how can we get the pink look this season?

Colour blocking is one of my favourite ways of styling, and M&S have done that brilliantly with the pink trend across their brands for SS15. If you are not a fan of the head to toe pink look, then add some pink trousers to your holiday wardrobe and wear with white or cream for a more practical outfit.

Floral prints are awash with pink shades, and between Heatons and Only, you have plenty to choose from under €25 too. I quite like the bolder pink prints which can be paired with navy or black on the bottom to flatter the legs. These prints also look fab under a white linen jacket for the warmer months. Watch out the floral and white oversize jacket from Only which is in shops now, it's quite the bargain!

Another star buy are the embellished sandals from New Look to be worn with some light wash jeans or try a mid length denim skirt to keep the look right on trend. Again, these are a lovely shoe option for your summer holliers. If pale pink isn't your thing, cerise pink is a vibrant shade that sits well against neutral tones like camel and taupe. You might have seen the dress in last week's post on occasion dressing from Fee G which we adore at Beaut HQ!
