This Woman Got Lost, Gave Birth, Fought Bees & Started a Forest Fire

The survival stories doing the rounds of late are truly amazing. Meet Amber Pangborn. She is a 35-year-old California woman who reportedly went into labour en route to her parent's house.

She claims she tried to take a shortcut through the woods, before giving birth to a baby girl. Then they were attacked by a swarm of bees (because "they wanted the placenta", obvs) before "Mommy started a forest fire." Well, it was the only way she was going to draw attention to herself to get rescued.

As for what Amber survived on; three apples, a bottle of water, and a can of fizzy pop.

Someone needs to get Amber stories re-imagined on TLC's Extreme Births ASAP. It's like One Born only with hammy acting, cults, births in the eye of hurricanes, twins in labour in tandem, and so on. Sounds horrendous but it's extremely addictive viewing.
