In fairness, you know you've made it when Saturday Night Live are talking about you. The Minister for Health was brought up in the American show's Weekend Update piece where the host made a joke about Varardkar coming out recently.
Nothing too bad now, we don't need to start marching with sticks of fire over to New York or anything.
The joke went something like this; "Ireland's Minster of Health this week announced he was gay becoming the first openly gay government figure in Irish history. Of course in Ireland 'gay' just means you have less than eight kids." Hilarious.
