Beaut.ienomics: Pure & Kind - Wallet Friendly Skincare Range

As we all know, beauty rarely comes cheaply. I am notorious for shelling out vast amounts of money on lotions and potions that promise all kinds of wonderful results. Sometimes they deliver and sometimes they don’t.

So when the new Super Valu skincare range, Pure & Kind, came across my desk I was sceptical to say the least. Can a product that costs less than a fiver really deliver?

There are 6 items in the range, a body butter (€5), a facial moisturiser (€3), an anti-wrinkle day cream (€4), an anti-aging night cream (€4), an anti-wrinkle serum (€4.50) and a cleansing lotion (€3).

At first glance the packaging is appealing. It’s clean and bright although I can’t help thinking that it might be aimed more at the younger teenage-20s market than to the more mature shopper.

The product ingredients contain a number of skin friendly items such as shea butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil and vitamin E and contain no harsh perfumes or colourings.

But while some of the products, such as the cleanser have no scent, others like the body butter and day cream do. So if you have extremely sensitive skin then I would proceed with caution.

My favourite item from the range was the body butter. I found it’s floral scent delicious! It also left my skin feeling very moisturised and soft.

All in all it’s a perfectly acceptable range. It does what it says on the tin, and for under a fiver what more can you ask for?! I can see it being ideal for students, for those of us for whom money may be tight, or even as a grab one on the go for a trip when you’d prefer not to bring your more expensive items.

Have you tried this range yet? What do you think? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
