We all need a break occasionally from the back-breaking work that is personal maintenance. So why not go to a lovely hotel with a spa and have someone else do it for you for a couple of days? Â
I'll be doing a series of these articles, and here's the first of my recommendations:
Monart Destination Spa, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford

This place sounds awe-mazing. It's situated in over 100 acres of private mature woodland, and built around the 18th Century Monart House. It's an adults-only facility designed and operated to the standards of the world's top destination spas. Oooh, fancy.
So what treatments and goodies are on offer?
Well, the list is pretty exhaustive - there's a thermal spa where you can have a body brush, use the mud chamber or have a body cleanse or massage. Of the THIRTEEN Face treatments on offer, you could sample an Elasto-Firm mask or an Oxy-Vital mask. Worried your boobs might be letting the side down? Then how about a Kigelia Bust Treatment? It's apparently a remarkable repair therapy revealing a firmer and more youthful neck and bust.
There's also massage, hydrotherapy &Â body treatments, flotation treatments and a special range of treatments designed specially for men. If that wasn't enough for you, you could indulge in some Indian Head massage, Reiki or Reflexology. They also offer a nice set of treatments for pregnant women.
They haven't scrimped on the bedrooms either by the looks of things. Their 68 bedrooms are "contained in an accommodation block nestled within Monart's private woodlands. All the exceptionally private deluxe sized rooms offer a balcony/terrace with a lake or woodland view and Italian marble bathrooms". Check the site for pictures - they look gorgeous.
I've saved the best bit for last though - this weekend the Monart Destination Spa are doing a really good special offer - they are offering a Special Rate for Friday the 27th of October 2006, to include 1 nights luxury accommodation with breakfast and unrestricted access to the thermal spa facilities to cleanse, relax and detoxify the body @ €160 per adult sharing.
