Isadora Face Sculptor and Mesmerising Eyeshadow Palette

I’ll be honest, Isadora isn’t a brand that has been on my radar. For some reason, I haven’t taken the time to browse its products when I’m on the hunt for makeup. However, when these lovelies landed at HQ I was more than intrigued. And in short, the quality is brilliant and the colours are just deeelicious.

  • Isadora Face Scupltor in Warm Peach (€25.50)

This is too pretty. The bronzer is perhaps a touch warm for my paler skin, but the blush and highlighter shades are perfect. That soft, rosy colour is eminently flattering and you can see how glossy the highlighter looks from just a quick swatch. These can be built up to a really opaque finish, but I like a softer wash of colour.

  • Isadora Mesmerising Eyeshadow Palette (€21.75)

I am so impressed by this. I was ambivalent until I opened the palette; then the sparkly warm shades drew me in. What really impresses is the opacity – the sparkly shades go on the eye with a pop – the glitter doesn’t look insipid or wishy washy. It is opaque. The darker brown shades left a fully opaque patch on the eye after just touching the brush in the product. So much so that I had to grab a clean brush and blend the shadow out for a good minute to soften it. That is value for money. A little goes a very long way!

What do you think of these products? They certainly have a home in my makeup bag!

That palette looks lovely! Don’t think I’ve bought anything from Isadora since I was in my teens in the early 90’s and in those days the quality wasn’t great. Must have a look next time I’m in Shaws. I read somewhere (was it here?) about one of their mascaras being good too so they’ve obviously improved over the years.

Ah here, that palette looks amazing for the price.

I have the palette and LOVE it! I turned it upside down though and the gorgeous light sparkly shadow (furthest left) spilled all over my carpet. So watch out for looseness!

  • Ann says:

Look gorge….other than Shaws who stocks these.?…..that’s mad Miriam, I’ve broken so many palettes by dropping them but turning them upside down, wouldn’t expect to lose the eye shadow.

Here in Wexford town I’ve only seen the brand in Shaws and in one of those small own-name pharmacies. Where do you live? This list of stockists is cut and pasted from a post on from 2011:

Isadora, at Arnotts; Shaws Department Stores; Debenhams Henry Street, Blanchardstown, Tallaght, Waterford, Blackrock, Tralee, Limerick, Patrick St Cork; (mineral makeup stocked at Debenhams Henry St, Tallaght, Waterford & Limerick); selected Unicare pharmacies; McCabes pharmacies and McCauley’s pharmacies.

It might be a bit inaccurate as I haven’t seen Isadora in McCauleys, but maybe McCabes still have it?

Anyone know where ion Cork stocks Isa Dora?

  • pepper says:

big fan of Isa Dora and indeed of Shaws. They have great value in all manner of lotions and potions, and the staff are really on the ball.

  • Min says:

Ooh! I got an utterly perfect nudes (all matte) palette by IsaDora a couple of months ago and I’m so in love with it, such quality! And it’s my only palette whose every shade is used.
Trouble is the brand is very very scarce now in Cork, it was only ever in non-chain, local pharmacies really. The one at the entrance to that Dunnes shopping centre in North Main St had stocks a few weeks ago….worth a try?
