Festive Fashion on a Budget

Do you dress up on the days leading up to Christmas (or indeed on the day itself) or does the festive season mean staying in your jammies with a Pride and Prejudice box set and your selection box?

I'm a mixture of the two, but I do like to get dolled up for Christmas dinner at home. Even if I don't brush my hair properly. Now, I could make some suggestions of outfits using the go-to piece of the little black dress, but I'm doing to make a departure from the old reliable and introduce some colour.

Blue is a positive colour, and by mixing and matching accessories you can make the colour suit you no matter what. Gold is the natural choice for blue I think, it softens the shade and adds a natural highlight too.

I'm totally in love with this necklace, which is pretty much the same as the Chanel style without the price tag. Metallic shoes will take you anywhere this Christmas, so you can style them with black trousers, skinny jeans and skirts for some alternative casual and dress looks. The style of this dress from Carraig Donn is what makes this a winner, the wrap style suits all shapes and sizes. The tie feature cinches in the waist, plus the v-neckline is flattering to all bust sizes. And how do we love a long sleeve, huh? I sure do!

And the best part? This fabulous Christmas day look costs just over €100!
