Oily skin saviour: Maybelline FitMe Anti Shine Stick Foundation has secret nipple ingredient

Foundation sliding off your face in the heat?  Shiny nose and chin by 11am?

I know we've got an issue with stick foundation in Ireland (will the horror of Pan Stik ever leave our collective memory?) but I reckon a lot of you are going to like this new offering from Maybelline.  The newest addition to the FitMe range of foundations and concealers, this guy is billed as a moisturiser, primer and foundation all in one and is actually a fantastic product.

The pictures do look unsettlingly like boobs on tour don't they?  But no matter as I would happily smear said boobs across my face if it prevents an oil slick.  For the nipple of the boobs contains the secret ingredient: ultra-lightweight powders which instantly dissolve excess oil.

The texture of the foundation is not heavy at all - it's light and surprisingly mousse like.  It spreads well, blends well and is completely and utterly matte. The coverage is good, medium to full and it will blend away a multitude of sins.

But let me repeat the first point.  FitMe Anti Shine Stick Foundation is completely matte - no shine or gleam going on here and for that reason I would say that it's probably a product for younger (teens to twenties), oily to combo skin.  Don't go near this if you've got fine lines or dry skin.

There's a good range of twelve shade to choose from, but it's the lighter shades that are going to suit most Irish lasses.  Classic Ivory 120 Vanille (the top swatch)  is at the end of the spectrum that will be most used here.  The darker swatch is Natural Beige 220 and I took both pics under different lighting conditions so you could judge them all the better.

The bad news is that it's not available until September (€13.79) - but that's only a few weeks really and it's worth waiting for.

What do you  reckon?  Could this be the answer to your foundation quest?
