Calf Length Boots: The Semi Skimmed Boot Option

We had so much debate over the problems associated with full length boots last week (chunky calves anyone?) that I realised to my joy that there was no need to stop writing about the delicious subject of boots.

This time I'm turning my nose up at knee and over the knee lengths and positively scorning ankle boots (well I'm not really scorning them because god knows they're damn sexy).  I'm taking a look at Calf length boots - those perfect little half and half options that are so versatile and are a fantastic daywear option.

Neither the full fat of knee boots or the skimmed ankle version: they're the semi skimmed boot option.

Chunky biker boots, patterned Docs, super cosy fleece and quilted numbers plus lace up heels mean there's plenty of styles to choose from.

A warning though.  Mid calf boots can be tricky to wear if they cut you off at the widest part of your calf - so just make sure you don't get a pair that dig in and actually accentuate you at the widest part.

Are you swayed by calf length boots or do you find them deeply unflattering?  And do you see any here you like?
