    Hello beaut.ies!

I managed to miss not one but two buses this morning. I think that says a lot about my motivation.
I’m meeting a colleague after work to talk about my job because the big boss would like her to replace me. She’s not too keen on it and since she’s a friend of sorts I’m not going to blatantly lie to her about the job either. I’ll make a list of its advantages and disadvantages for her.

@Andrea, I think my comment yesterday did not show but I wanted to tell you you have all my sympathy. I know what bullying at work is, it made me utterly miserable a few years ago. You’re going trough a very rough time at the moment, try and take care of yourself. Hugs.

@Orla, I was thinking about your deposit yesterday night (yep, nothing better to do). In your renting contract is there a specified timeframe for any change of tenants? Like you have to give one month notice or something? Because you could get your flatmate on that too, to force her to cough up for at least another month of rent. But I suppose you’ve already looked into that….

Well, have a nice day ladies!

Mornig ladies, uh oh run run run frog!!! Had the moat irrational dream last night that the BF was after bringing home some young one after his work night out, he was out last night but Jaysus I hope I’m not Turing in to one of them girls… Eppp

  • LynnieDoll says:

Get them while there hot – slams down big box of warm croissants straight from Superquinn bakery. Working from home has its advantages!!!

First advantage – Beaut.ie is not blocked!!!!! Whoop whoop.

Few degrees warmer this morning anyway.
thefrog your having a right old week of it, but sure its nearly over now. Don’t stress, I learned a long time ago that work wouldn’t keel over and collapse if I wasnt there.
BP – even hearing the word ‘BBQ’ makes me green with envy. it’s so dark and cold over here at the moment, we all feel like hermits. I’m longing for a bit of sun. Have you made any further decisions?

  • thefrog says:

    Yeah croissants!!!

Welcome back LynnieDoll, good to have you around to blather.

@Có, unpleasant dream alright. I had a very very weird one, where S Zebo was presenting the 8pm French news. He was doing a much better job than the usual journalist actually.
Note to self, must not check rugby news before going to bed. Must not watch Father Ted either, as it probably generates absurd dreams.

Can we speed the clock to Friday? Please? I’m already annoyed at work and it’s not 9 yet!!!!

  • Buttons says:

    Morning all :)

*takes a croissant and stuffs it whole into mouth*

Friday tomorrow…can’t believe how fast the week has gone.
I bought a new dress for a ball I have coming up soon, it’s red lace with beige underlay. Would anyone have any suggestions for coat/shawl type thing that might go. I don’t really want to go down the usual pashmina thrown over my shoulders route.
I’ll probably wear nude shoes and minimal accessories.

  • EvieM says:

Morning girlies, how’re we all today. Here Lynnie, fork over one of them croissants and someone stick the coffee machine on. Bobbypins, you beat me in this morning, was trying to convince the small man to sit quiet in bed with me and watch cartoons, but gave up and came downstairs when he kicked me in the head while climbing ontop of me to sit on my chest. Andrea, hoping you’re feeling better today, work place bullying sucks, I had a boss who took his marriage problems out on me. I hated going in each day, like The Frog I went in early, stayed late and did more than my fair share of work, and what did I get for it? Abuse that’s what, all but being accused of stealing because he couldn’t read the cashbook correctly. I handed in my notice and left them high and dry seeing as I was the only one able to use the computer system, he even brought the accountants in before I left to check up on everything, thankfully they put a note on the file to say everything was perfect when I left and if there was any problems at the end of the year it wasn’t down to me. Hubby met him a few years later, they’d gone through a half dozen people since me and he asked if I’d consider coming back, hubby politely declined.

  • EvieM says:

Bobbypins (almost typed Boobypins there Lol)whatever you decision you make will be the right one for you, take as long as you need to make it, there’s no rush.

  • LynnieDoll says:

EvieM is right BP – don’t be putting yourself under pressure to do this, think through carefully and go with your gut-its never let me down yet. But I know you must feel like it’s constantly hovvering over your head constantly.

I had the same at 5.30 this morning, Littledoll was full of the joys, took her into my bed thinkin I’ll get another hour, not a chance, was loving using my head as a step up to bang the wall, all the while shouting Mammy’s sleep!!!!!

thefrog- nothing wierd about dreaming of Simon Zebo!!! In fact I’m sure it was very plesant…

Buttons, I’m not great with fashion so I’ll decline my advice, but the dress sounds very glam…Enjoy.

  • thefrog says:

@LD, what are you imagining now? He was presenting the news I told you! What sort of ideas do you have about me, really! ;)

@BP, the girls are right. You don’t have a time pressure to take a decision, so think this through. Good that you seem to be feeling a bit better.

@Buttons, I’m of the old ‘pashmina over the shoulders’ school, so can’t really help. A nice red or beige short cardigan maybe? Do you have a link to the dress, it sounds lovely.

  • Shygirl says:

Morning all! I’m laughing at boobypins I had typed that myself one day before I realised my mistake and deleted it. Whos for a vote that Bobbypins change her name?

  • Buttons says:

BP and LD…thanks. Its a little bit sexy for me TBH but I am newly-ish single and have my eye on someone who is going so I am hoping it’s going to attract the right attention! I am working really hard on my diet and training, and also geting myself some salon treatments coming up to it so I really feel and look my best. Might even splash out on some spanx too…recomendations in this area appreciated too!

  • Shygirl says:

Buttons could you wear one of those furry shrugs? You’d be warm travelling to and from the event. It your getting a spray tan done make sure and give yourself a good scrub with a non oil based exfoliator. And get your eyelashes tinted it makes a huge difference.

  • Shygirl says:

I just clicked on that link that dress is stunning.

  • says:

    Buttons thats fecking smashing dress!!!

  • Sandy Beach says:

    Buttons

Wowzers. A fur shrug from somewhere like Debenhams could look good. You could wear it indoors if you had to. Or some velvet.

  • Andrea says:

    Morning beauts!
Wahwahwah boobypins that’s a good one!

I’d be delighted with a croissants thanks very much LD and BP I’ll have a steaming latte!

Thank you for all your concern ladies, feeling much better as I got 8hrs sleep which is quite an event in itself… the kids went off to bed earlier (11pm) last nite. Well rested and bright and bushy tailed today.
I’m not the one to wait for things to happen, I’m always saying onwards and upwards no matter what. I’ll try to find something better soon, it’s a shame really that he’s like that when all my colleagues are so wonderful. He’s losing out big times.

@EvieM I know what you mean and tis horrible what you went through. Good for you that you escaped from there. I’m also the one doing the website(everything that has to do with it- managing it if you wish), sending out all online orders, FB and marketing and advertising, research new products for shop&online, invoices, ordering, emails, classes schedule and paperwork, petty cash, i even put up the bloody barcoding system on tills in place(about 25.000 items on shelves at all times) and there’s more but all I can think of right now. I’m not expecting a Christmas bonus or anything, I just want a bit of decency that’s all.

@BobbyPins it must be very hard to decide, take your time and think of cheerier times ahead, perhaps that will improve your spirits. *hugs*

@TheFrog how long does your commute take in the morning? two buses seems an awful lot…

Have a fab day all beauties hope you have a good one! xox

  • thefrog says:

@Buttons: that dress is stunning. I don’t have the boobs nor the confidence to wear it, but it’s amazing. Forget about the cardigan, it would look stupid.

  • Shygirl says:

11 pm for kids to go to bed is considered early?

  • ~Thalia~ says:

Buttons, dress is hot hot HOT.

If it were me I’d be tempted to wear it with clashing brights for shoes and jacket but I live clashing colours , what the other girls have suggested sounds lovely if you want to strike the sophisticated chord :)
