Morning all you lovely Beauties – is everyone as glad as me to have yesterday done and over with – My god what a crap day – it dragged all the way in, even though I was busy!!!!

Literally had to drag myself out of the bed this morning, feel shattered. But have my positive head on now and today will be grand. :)

  • EvieM says:

Morning all, how’re we feeling today? Hope all the sick beauties are feeling a bit better. Still feel like ass myself but at least we all got some sleep, little man only woke once with the cough during the night so we all got some sleep. Anyone want to donate a tub of Vicks? I did all the local shops and chemists yesterday for a tub now that himself is 2 and old enough for it and everywhere is out, the whole town must have a cold. I’ll have to stick with the snuffle baby for the moment cause I don’t fancy the walk uptown to see if anywhere else has it, don’t have the energy….the Disney Junior Channel will be running on overdrive today me thinks….bad mommie.

    Morning.

EvieM – meant to say yesterday, I think that is terrible about the delivery you got. If I was you, I’d get on to the courier, explain the situation & ask to know who sent it.

Am not feeling the Mae West this morning. Stupid IBS been acting up past couple of days & has resulted in a bad morning of running to the loo already. Hoping to make it through work fairly ok.

  • Orla says:

Morning everyone! So tired this morning. Was in bed early last night but couldn’t sleep. himself is sick and was tossing and turning for a lot of the night, which kept me awake :(

I just finished reading ‘Dead man talking’ on the train this morning. It’s by Mark Heffernan and it’s about him and the problems he’s had with gangs in Limerick etc don’t know if anyone has read it, but it’s brilliant, really hits stuff home because I remember hearing about all the different stuff that was happening but didn’t know it was all kinda connected to him.. he ran Galaxy fm, federation, the nightclub in newcastle west and all that kinda stuff!

    Hello!
I’ve been at work for 2 and a half hour today and haven’t had the time yet to get a cup of tea or coffee. This is going to be a long day.
I need to go to the pharmacy at lunch break to get some syrup because my throat is still killing me. If I’m not better tomorrow, I’ll go to the doctor in the evening.

It looks live I’ve really lost my USB stick the day I left, it’s nowhere to be seen in my office. Crap.

    Happy belated birthday LauraLou!

    Have a nice day all.

  • Peppermint Patty says:

    Morning all,

First day back after Christmas, waaahhh! Trying out my first pair of jeggings, not sure if they are for me at all… they feel strangely tight around the knees. Just the knees, nowhere else. Bizarre!

Sending out happy thoughts to all the sick/tired beaut.ies today :D

    LauraLou – Happy Birthday!!!

  • Orna says:

Ladies, can I ask which models of mk watches ye got?? Have wanted one for ages and love them on other people but when I try them on myself I’m never sure, think I just have really small wrists. Went up to get one last week with money from Christmas and the only jewellers I know of in cork that does them was closed :( :(

  • says:

oh jaysus Orna i dont have a clue, i know he had it ordered in to fields, ill ask himself the name when he gets his lazy arse out of bed!! :)

  • Squishywishy says:

    Hey Ladies

    Happy belated birthday LauraLou.

I’m still a ball of stress here over wedding venues and church dates. If I continue like this for the next 12 months ill be a shadow of myself on the wedding day. Maybe 12 months is too short a time to plan a wedding eek.

Anybody have any suggestions of nice reception venues in or close to Dublin???

  • Beth TV says:

    Morning folks,

Squishy, why not have it in Eddie Rockets on Dame Street and pints in Temple Bar afterwards? :)

  • Chloe says:

morning girls! LauraLou & Có, lucky ye. I keep slobbering over the MK watches on Asos, along with Marc Jacobs. Think I’ll be settling for one of the cheaper, chunky watches!
Off to my doctor at home now, had to specifically set the alarm to rig her. 9AM-12PM Monday-Friday or you’re out of lucky, gah! Hope you all have a lovely day

  • Kitty In The City says:

Beth TV, you should go into wedding planning – you gave me a good laugh. Feeling crap, another flipping sinus infection. Raging, just had one before Christmas.

On a serious note, anyone ever been to a life coach? The term has always made me want to run for the hills, and I can’t help thinking if I did go to one they’d have to take a year off to recover. (It happened to a friend of mine. She may not have been the *direct* cause, but she was hard work!).

  • ~Thalia~ says:

Congratulations Squishy on the engagement! FANTASTICO news!
Wedding planning is only as stressful as you allow it to be and there’s no fun in making it stressful and no, 12 months is more than ample time to plan :)
    You’ll be fine :)

  • EvieM says:

Squishy it can be stressful alright but alot of it we put on ourselves, ALOT is other people too, dear god the hen night organising nearly done me in.

Anyhoo, the one bit of advice I’d offer you is start making appointments to try on dresses asap, it can take 6 months to order in some dresses, others come in much quicker but sods law and all that, plus it can take a few weeks to get an appointment in the more popular shops and if it takes you a while to find THE DRESS, well you don’t want to miss out on it by a few weeks, or have to pay an additional fortune to rush order it. Do your research online and book places that stock brands you like dresses from, other then that, be open minded, sometimes the style you have your heart set on does nothing for you and you end up looking stunning in something you would never have thought of at the beginning.

  • says:

epppp planning a wedding sounds like mucho fun!! I wanna be a wedding planner :)

  • Beth TV says:

KITC, I actually have considered it before. It’s handier doing the reception in a burger chain as they sort you out with drinks for the toast and gifts for the guests. I got a Shrek :D

Seriously Squishy, you have oodles of time to work with. Your best thing for now is to suss out your budget, pick your date, decide on who HAS to be there and think about dresses for your and the bridal party. Once that’s done look up potential venues as you then have a good idea then as to what you need of the hotel/venue and you won’t be out teasing yourself or wasting time with places that don’t suit you or which you can’t afford. Once that’s done, sort out your entertainment (Band and/or DJ)and a photographer as good ones get snapped up proper quick.

The gang here will have heaps of advice as well so just ask away and we’ll help you :)

  • Rosamaria says:

He he Kitty. Must say I have always fancied going to a life coach (still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up), but would be afaid they might be airy-fairy. I would want gentle guidance, with very strong direction
