Dear Pancakes and rugby month (my calendar says you’re called February, but you and me know better), let me give you a very warm welcome in the name of all the beaut.ies. You’ve been long in coming but we’re glad you’re here.

It’s Friday, the bar is open. There is tea (black and fancy green), coffee and pastries on the right, alcohol (in moderation) is on the left. You’re allowed buttered toast with your alcohol.

    Have a nice day.

(And no, I’m not drunk already. Just happy)

Thefrog, how lovely to read your cheery post!
I am sitting down with a coffee, I did a giant clear out this evening and got two boxes packed so GO ME!
Hope everyone feels a little cheerier today.

You see BP, since my big Sunday blues, I’ve been doing what mummypupper suggested: counting my blessings. I’ve got a job, a better one waiting for me in less than 3 months, a roof over my head, I can pay my mortgage and still go on holidays and even send my parents on holidays.
Of course I still have my dark moments but I’m keeping them at bay as best as i can. So let’s be cheery and try and cheer everybody up as well!

I’ve bought the kite runner and la sombra del viento (the shadow of the wind) yesterday, I’ll probably start with the Spanish one tonight. The summary looked very promising!

Morning ladies :) we’re all cheerful this morning! Thefrog you’re so right.. I think we need to count our blessings more often instead of focusing on what isn’t right in our lives ( I’m too guilty of this) so any exciting weekend plans anyone?

  • thefrog says:

@Polkadotty: for me it’s going to be a rugby in front of the telly weekend (I’m at my parents and relegated to my bedroom), then dinner at the neighbours (they had invited my parents for last week but postponed it when they learn I wouldn’t be there. They’re a lovely couple), and some holiday planning to be done first for Istanbul in 8 days and also for the summer (Scottish Highlands, so we need to work out the itinerary, the B&Bs, and the date to fit with my personal plans too!). And pancakes on Sunday, of course!
So nothing really fancy, but it should be nice.

Morning all, feeling alot cheerier after a good nights sleep. Was in bed before 10pm last night. The Frog, whatever you’re having send some my way, you’re a happy camper this morning. No plans this weekend but we’re going out to dinner with friends on the 16th so I will finally get to wear my new dress I had all the hassle getting from House of Fraser. I suppose I really should try it on and make sure it fits, fingers crossed cause I really wanted a 12 for comfort but I could only get a 10. Me and the little mush are having mini croissants for breakfast, his is plain but mine is covered with white chocolate spread, I think I deserve it. Thanks again Deasa for all your help yesterday, I am going to make a real effort to instigate the naughty corner this weekend and hopefully we’ll have less tantrums to deal with. Kids are tough, it’s a good thing they’re cute or they’d be left outside a hospital with a note pinned to their chest….god I sound like an awful momma, I swear I’m not.
