I ran out the weekend and made a quick dash to penny’s and got catrice primer I was super surprised so cheap really velvety and good enough on pores ….a great wee back up plan for a few euros.

If you’re looking for a good cheap primer, the Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer is fab, I’ve been using it for a while now and it’s really good I have to say. Gives great staying power to your makeup. It’s only about 12 quid as well which is great

I bought a silicon type primer like the Smashbox one, from Gosh Cosmetics but it was €19 which I think is a mad price to pay for a Pharmacy brand makeup! (although I do like their other stuff in fairness!)

Sephora own brand is a great dupe for the smashbox photofinish I must say for a good bit cheaper…velvety, longlasting and it even balls a bit if you don’t get it on quick!!

I loved the Smashbox for years. Then discovered Hourglass like it better. Unfortunately its more expensive!!!

Major fan of the L’oreal studio secrets! After 3 years of using it I can firmly say noting comes close to how a job it does. Still like Smashbox as a brand overall but €20 vs. €31 wins

I really like no. 7 airbrush away & also the lancome primer. Lancome primer €10 dearer but not any better than no. 7 one. Think i will stick with no. 7 for value for money.

I too didn’t get on with the Smashbox original primer but absolutely love the primer light (oil free) version. It sinks in really quickly and makes a big difference to the longevity of makeup. Also totally love Laura Geller champagne spackle, gives a lovely brightened finish with no sparkles.

I was a Twilight vampire for Halloween last year, no joke. But I used a light dusting of Illamasqua’s static pigment, haha.

Still, an idea for anyone that wants a clever and cheap costume!

I love the Primer Light for Oil control and the hydrating version. Smashbox as a brand are up there as a favourite, the blushes and eyeshadows are beautiful. The only product of theirs I actively hate is their gel eyeliner.
