I am seriously out of practice, 4 bottles of beer last night and I’m feeling rough. Must get in training before Christmas.

  • Belle says:

watched the late late toy show last night! Was actually very good – best one for a few years now.

Although some of the kids – two ten year olds talking about how “everyone needs to take turns with harry styles” and saying ‘rarrr’ complete with hand motions about good looking pop stars – far too ‘mature’ and worldly wise for their own good.

  • Lesley says:

My skin this morning! So dry in parts oily in parts! nightmare usually its normal/oily but now with the added dryness its so hard to manage! Any suggestions?

Also has anyone ever bought the MUFE groupon vouchers? is there any stock that cant be bought with the vouchers?

  • CB says:

Morning all. I enjoyed the toyshow apart from the last three children. Those two girls you mentioned Belle were painful, I had to mute it. Drama school overload. And that boy with the Bond – maybe I’m old and cranky but I thought he was far too young to be watching those films never mind being asked to comment on hot Bond girls.

  • Shygirl says:

Hey. I woke up with a headache this morning. Too much sugar last night…what a rebel.

  • Belle says:

haha i’m glad you agree with me CB! I was thinking I was the only cranky one out there! I just think they have to grow up soon enough- why would you push that! And that drama school/billie barry stuff drives me crazy – so false.

  • Audrey says:

My skin is so dry one of my dry patches turned into a friggin colds sore:( in tge middle of my cheek I might add….what the hell?!? Anyhoo dragged my pregnant ass to the shop & bought as much as I could carry of la Roche posay….am expecting great things so hope I’m not disappointed :) my brother though I looked like a kid who fell off her bike …tee hee heee!!

Hi everyone – wrecked this morning too! What are we like. A hot bath and a facemask call and then I’m going back to bed!

For the dry skin thing – it happens to me the second the rads go on. Try a really moisturising facemask, really slather it on and leave it on for ages – just hope no one calls to the door! I sleep in mine – just leave a towel over the pillow.

It’s still the old reliable is my fave – the Dermalogica Multi Vit

Afternoon all. I got through my week of temping, first time to work in a proper office in over 3 years. It doesn’t matter how tedious the work is if it’s a nice bunch of people.

I hadn’t seen any of the toy show in about 25 years, and attempted a bit last night. Lasted about 15 minutes. I just don’t understand the appeal.

  • Tina~bean says:

Belle, I know what you mean. I love the Toy Show, but last night was horrendous. I was cringing at the piece with the two girls. The young lad as well going on about checking out girls. I really didn’t like it. I sound totally old fashioned, but let kids be kids; why do they have to become mini adults. I found the “raaaaarrrrr” and “hot” comments were distasteful and not at all endearing. They are just children.

    Hello there!

Shygirl, I woke up with a headache too, and I blame the wine I drank yesterday. Where is my youth gone? When I could go through a whole bottle of champagne without any after effect. Sigh. Old and not 30 yet!

Talking about dry skin, I’ve started the LRP serum this morning, so far the redness has disappeared, keeping fingers crossed.
At the restaurant yesterday, my gran mentioned that she had started getting wrinkles. My mum and I looked at her and realised that at 75 she was indeed just starting to get wrinkles. I hope good skin is hereditary, I really do!

  • Shygirl says:

The Frog, I do think its roughly a third genetic, a third enviromental factors and lifestyle, and a third your skincare routine. Maybe I’m wrong, but thats just what I think. I’m open for correction!

I have a real first world problem!!

I had saved up my boots advantage card points to get a ysl glossy stain and was in liffey valley today and picked up the one i wanted. Just opened the package and she gave me a ysl lipstick instead of the glossy stain. Even though the numbers are the same the shades are totally different and i really wanted the one that i picked..

I had travelled to Liffey Valley and no boots near me has ysl. So after wasting my points on a product I dont want!!!

i dont know what to do.As I said a real first world problem..

  • Shygirl says:

Kcs, ring them and explain. You could get it sent to you in the post if you post the one you got back. Its not your mistake, its theirs.xxx

  • Ebs says:

Hi, I just have a random question as one does when watching X-factor. Have anyone bought the new Chanel soap? If so is it worth buying? And how much did it cost?

  • LynnieDoll says:

Morning all, I’ll put the kettle on now BP, sure I’ve been up a couple of hours with LittleDoll…… she hasn’t got the concept of weekend lie-in’s….
Anyone else to go in the pot, while I’m at it….

  • thefrog says:

BP, do you want some St Nicholas shaped brioche with your tea?

Woke up this morning to see the cars covered with a small layer of snow (now, don’t panic, I live on the continent).. It was snowing a bit but it has now stopped, which is good. Snow is alright at night or late in the evening, but not when you have to go out!

St Nicholas is coming to town this afternoon, I’ll probably go out and have a look at the parade. And stay well away from Black Peter. I’ve been mostly good this year, but one cannot be too careful. ;)

    Have a nice Sunday!

  • Shygirl says:

Morning all! Headache free today hurray!

  • *Aisling* says:

    Shygirl – what a relief!

  • Shygirl says:

Yup. I wasn’t a nice shygirl at all yesterday.
