Cheap(er) Cosmetics #1: Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Liner

rimmelI mislaid my beloved Ruby & Millie i-writer recently - no doubt it's at the bottom of one of my many bags, but I haven't been able to find it. So I decided I had better get me a new liquid liner - liner is one of my beauty staples and I was lost without it. The i-writer was the best liquid liner I'd ever found, so easy to use and apply. So it was with trepidation in my heart that I set out to get a new one. I deliberately decided to try a cheaper brand this time, just to see what was what.

So how did I get on?

Pretty darn good as it turned out - I got myself a Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Liner liquid liner, for about half the price of an i-writer. My problem with a lot of the liquid liners I've used in the past is that the applicator is this poxy thin little brush, which is completely uncontrollable and wobbles all over the place. This one has a nice felt pen type tip, which took a little bit of getting used to, but once I had, the results were great. The product itself has a good consistency and is nice and black. The only downside I've noticed is that it's not particularly touchproof, but that's a minor gripe.

Seems to last just as long as the Ruby & Millie one too. So, the verdict is in, and it's a definite recommendation. I'd buy it again.
