Can anyone tell me what a loop file is for??? is there any benefit to using one??? my local pennys got a new HUGE essence stand that has loads of new nail things on it, stood in front of it for ages last night, i was delira, but spotted the loop file and havent a clue what to do with it, i have a glass nail so do i need a loop one??

boredmum well done! :) Major congrats for not smoking! x I’m up since himself arrived in since 6.30 and I feel great! Weather is fab so I’m in a fantastic mood – despite the fact that HMFH seems to have gotten rid of my pot of herbs!! hehe

Of for a rosemantic breakfast in some greasy spoon with a bunch of hungover construction workers.. fun fun

Congrats Boredmum, that’s brilliant! Apparently the loop nail file makes it easier to file your nails in a rounded shape.
    Enjoy breakfast Orla!
Any nice plans for the weekend? :)

The greasy spoon builders breakfast. Food of champions, right Orla?

Glad someone was happy to be up at 6.30. I was in one of those situations where I was trying to wake up and fall asleep at the same time. Eventually waking up won out, as I am in work this morning. Roll on 1 and let me out of here…

Well done boredmum! Lousy about your herbs, Orla! I’d kill him! Despite already having FIVE Urban Decay palettes (mostly thanks to generous friends), I bought the custom one yesterday! I am officially a UD junkie. I was completely overcome with lust and greed when I saw it and even bought 2 shadows in addition to the one it came with! I’m going to stare at it and smile for the weekend whilst plotting what colours I will fill it with! Mwuhahahahahahahaha!

Well done boredmum, especially if you used to associate smoking with drinks, it’s always difficult to change this kind of behaviour. So congrats again!

Lovely weekend out there, sunny but not too warm. Am wearing a skirt with no tights in an attempt to get some colour on my legs, we’ll see if it works.
Talking about sun, this La Roche-Posay ad above is pretty scary but at the same time very welcome. I’m dreadful when it comes to sun products, I only remember to put some on when I plan to lie in the sun (i.e. 3 days a year), and always end up getting sunburnt on the shoulders and neck when walking or gardening in the summer. I think I’ll get my sun cream out this weekend, and use it.

Went to Sephora this morning, they had 20% off everything, but since I’m saving for my trip to London next weekend I was reasonable and only bought a Sally Hansen nail polish, a lovely pale green one, looks perfect for spring (I mean, spring is finally there, right? I’m still not quite sure I can put my jumpers away).

Going to the cinema tomorrow to see Dark Shadows with some friends, one of which has never heard of Tim Burton (she’s from Romania, so it may be the reason why). Hope she will like it.

Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Finally plucked up the courage to go to my local book shop and purchase ’50 Shades of Grey’..curiosity killed the cat..although i was scarlet bringing it to the counter…have spent all morning in stitches laughing, and totally engrosed in it..anyone else reading it or read it?

Hi all, hope you’re enjoying your Saturday! I got my hair cut and coloured and got a lovely treatment done too. My hair and scalp feel lovely :) Then came home and my 12 week old baby missed me so much she won’t let me put her down, wee pet! So I can’t tidy the mess that the husband and son made. Takes the goodness out of getting away on my own when I come home to a mess and it so tidy before I left :( Sorry had to rant about that!
