Holy Christ that is an awful ad!!! Why would Benefit ever even think of allowing their brand near such a terrible video?!? It is funny for all the wrong reasons…as in you laugh at it as opposed to along with it!!! Ugh its just so bad ha ha!!! Xoxo;-)

I guess nobody from Benefit has seen the reactions from people here as they’ve just put that video up on the “Benefit Cosmetics Ireland” facebook page. I really hope they nip this campaign in the bud, its all so awkward and cringe-worthy :/

Feel stupider after watching this. Makes me lose respect for Benefit… Whoever thought this would be a good idea should be sacked.

Now I love Benefit, but this video just isn’t doing it for me, even before I started watching it, just the still was putting me off, having said that Catherine Lynch has never really been one of my favourite female Irish comedians anyway.

this is horribly racist and not funny at all. I’ve never bought Benefit before (but have a couple of lipsticks from the time they were giving them out free with Cadbury) and this would certainly put me off buying anything from them in the future.

I don’t see how this promotes Benefit at all?? If I had never heard of benefit i definitely wouldnt want to buy after seeing this!

@Grace totally agree about Benefit’s products, especially Bad Gal, left me underwhelmed! I hate their packaging as well, don’t find it appealing at all

I can’t even watch it. I lasted 20 seconds before shutting it down. But then that’s hardly surprising, I find this womans particular brand of “comedy” shockingly bad and unfunny. Benefit, what in the name of god were you thinking? I would love to get some idea of what the thinking behind this was. Because it is lost on me.

Apart from High Beam, I’ve never liked Benefit – not that I’ve tried all the products – but their Bad Gal lash was useless? Or is that just me?

I’ve just always had the impression their products are low quality while you’re forking out for the puns and word play?
