I never wash my face in the morning, I just let the shower run over it and that’s it!! I am religious about cleansing and washing my face at night so I never saw the point in washing it again in the morning. The only time I do is after a night out…I find my skin is tight (even if I have cleansed and moisturised when I get in) after indulging in a few red wines/vodka & sodas!!! So I use an exfoliating scrub…skin feels great after and the gently scrubbing puts a bit of colour back in my cheeks!!!!!

I’m slightly confused about this, all my life Independent beauty experts said cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day

so whats right and whats wrong?

or are they both right, dose it just depends on your skin type?

It makes my heart glow to know that I am already doing what Ms. Hayek is doing.

My granny is 84 and has no wrinkles. In addition to good genes, plenty of sunblock and daily moisturizing, I hope to look as good as Salma when I’m 46.

Hmm, I thought I was just super-lazy, but I have never seen the point of face-washing in the morning. It’s clean. It’s absorbed my lovely night cream. Why wash all that good stuff away?

i’m glad there is now a valid reason other than laziness. My skin is super dry though i wake up feeling dry skinned i definitely wouldn’t be cleansing. Although i don’t look like salma i am told i don’t look my age of 31.5 i do think that might be due to the total lack of sun in ireland and resulting lack of wrinkles compared to continental europeans but i could pretend it was not cleansing in the morning?

I only do things to my face at night; I take off my make-up, wash my face and moisturise. I’m not sure why but it’s just what I’ve always done, I don’t even splash water on my face in the mornings.

Same here. Cleanse, tone and moisurise at night. Quick spritz of yonka toner in the morning. More cos I love the smell of it than anything else. I have dry skin with exception of chin area.don’t look half as good as her though. More the pale and interesting kinda vibe.

I never wash my face in the morning – not even a splash of water. I do a thorough hot cloth cleanse in the evenng and mositurise well. Then in the morning it’s sunscreen and make-up only.
