Help am in the market for a nice, budget friendly every day foundation but can never get the right shade. Can somebody please help-how do I do that without looking like an oompah-loompah or as if I have never seen the light of day because I’m so pale. Neither a good look!!!

The Rimmel wake up foundation is also amazing. Had so many comments when I wear it and for a pale skinned girls ivory 100 matches perfectly. Will Definately try this one next though.

I seem to remember they launced this last year and I didn’t like it at all. I don’t like wake me up either so I don’t get on too well with rimmel foundations.

Rimmels I did like were the light one with the pink lid and the 8 hour effect, both of which were discontinued.

I like the bourgouis sleep effect but not mad on the other ones.

I tend to usually like most max factor ones, xperience being my no.1.

I agree that budget foundations are kicking ass now. I find it hard to justify paying circa €40 when ones which costs less than €20 are as good if not better. Then there’s 3 for 2 and points.

Emma ooh I love the look of that rimmel lipstick in the ad but I’m a bit afraid of red and plum lipsticks. Give me bright fuschia and I’m a happy girl but I always feel like people are staring at me if I wear red. Still I have fairly similar colouring to yourself and my hair is an almost identical colour, ombre en all. I might go mad and chance it for the Christmas.

I bought this in the shade lighter than this and although it did indeed match me perfectly shade wise (a first from a budget brand) it broke me out terribly! Dissapointed as I thought it could replace my YSL! Lovely coverage, shade and price though! x

I think you should be grand with this Anita but it’s a case of trial and error to get the right fit for yourself – it doesn’t cling to a little dry patch I have on my cheek but my skin tends more towards the oily side in general. The Maybelline Fit Me or Bourjois Healthy Mix serum should also be fine for you xo

How does it fare on skin prone to dry patches? Would this be okay or is there a better budget foundation for dry skin?

EvieM – thank you! That’s my current favourite lipstick – also by Rimmel! It’s the Kate Moss matte line, 107. LynnieDoll, it does photograph well
but I also had good light that day, which helps. Rosamaria we’re being spoiled for choice!

I bought this recently too and for a budget foundation I have to say it is not bad at all!
