How mean of them! Why do brands do that? Exclude whole countries? I’m sure I’ve seen a few women over here buying and wearing make-up. Perhaps they think cosmetics haven’t caught on over here ha ha

Bridget we can’t get Catrice/Essence here in the UK – if you happen to head to Ireland you’ll get them in Pennys (Primark) Thankfully I’m heading back to Ireland for a couple of days so I’ll be able to stock up!

Second the recs for TheBalm, I absolutely love their products! Eyeshadows are soft, pigmented like mad and their palettes are so fun and inexpensive. Am becoming a bit of a hoarder actually…

A’kin skincare doesn’t seem to feature much and it’s absolutely gorgeous, cruelty free and reasonably priced.

Second also the rec for Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturiser. I use the spf30 version (have to buy it online, can’t get it in Oz) and it’s so nice under makeup, high spf and not at all greasy. Love it.

Catrice is brilliant I love that brand so much. I disagree with what someone said about their eyeshadows having no pigment. True they have a miss here and there but I own around 30 of their single eyeshadows and a few of their quads and I’d say 95% have excellent pigmentation. I make the others work by using a cream shadow base.

Avene and Kiehl’s. Not the cheapest on the block but certainly effective and my stash is growing. (Kiehl’s also do a recycling programme where you get deluxe samples, lip balm and full size shower gel when you rack up 10 returns!). I never find the staff pushy but they are informative and give samples, almost guaranteeing, in my case, a future purchase!

I love Avene for day and night creams especially.

Caitriona, I have a few TheBalm products. Their Hot Mama blush is my favourite of all blushes and is supposed to be similar to but better than NARS Orgasm. I also like their vegan lip balm in a large tin (can’t remember the name).

I don’t like any ELF product I’ve bought apart from the brushes (both the flat powder and the complexion brush which is perfect for blush). Maybe it’s to do with not seeing the texture and colour in person but everything I have bought from them makeup-wise either reeks (over-sweet) or is just plain horrible on me.
