Hi Ladies, my GB finally arrived on Wednesday but I have to say I’m actually quite pleased with it. I got 4 full size products (lip liner, hand cream, body wash and lip balm) and 1 sample (serum). The value of what I got is €35+ so I think I’m convinced now to continue with it. The delivery is delay is poor service but it’s not like I actually have no skincare or make-up and am waiting on the GB so I’m prepared to wait for it.

I only got my April Glossybox yesterday, it’s a complete joke at this point. As mentioned by lots of people already, I was also billed for the May box before getting the April one – and the May invoice said ‘shipping mid-late May’ so we won’t get that one till June! I’m unsubscribing after the 1 year anniversary box, I reckon that one has to be a good one but after that, I’m done. I’ve been a subscriber for about 8 months, and I’ve had about 3 fantastic boxes that kept me hooked, about 3 okay/good ones and about 2 stinkers (the harrods one was SHITE). I have three full shower gels yet unopened, and a fair few face creams/serums I can’t use as I have sensitive skin.

To be honest, the main reason I’m unscribscribing is the delivery delay. It’s just ridiculous. The second reason is that like QueenBee said, I think the products are becoming cheaper and cheaper by the box, and I always seem to get the cheapest. They started glossybox with a full size Nars product, and this month we get a basic chemist lip balm!

Got my April box today. Surprise surprise another shower gel! This box isn’t too different to what the bloggers except I got the full size body wash instead of the straightening serum:(

Iv noticed they have started to put it items that probably don’t even add up to the 15€ spent on the GB. 4 pound body wash 3 pound lip balm!!!

I have two more boxes to get from this subscription. I’ll prob unsubscribe after that

I’m subscribed to Glossy box and I’m on the fence as to whether to continue. For €15 I think we need to be realistic about our expectations. There’s usually at least one full size product or a combination of samples that’s well worth the outlay. For the products I’m not so keen on I think of them as ‘the freebies’ and pass them on to friends. Sample sizes are always handy to have for traveling/handbag too. So they’re the pros…

The cons for me (and as mentioned by several commenters above) are the product envy and delivery speed. Has any of you Irish ladies received the April box yet? With the bank hol it’ll arrive for me on the 8th of May at the earliest (and I’m not holding my breath) which is a bit ridiculous when GB surely know they’re losing custom over delivery issues. Apparently GB ship all the boxes on the same day so we all get the ‘surprise’ on the same day but if it’s known that the boxes take the slow boat to Ireland why not ship them earlier…?

I see that I’ve been already charged for May so I’ll see how I fare with the April and May boxes and then decide. April is an eco-friendly box which I like the sound of and May will be GB’s one year anniversary so perhaps they’ll have something special lined up for that.

I Unsibscribed from GB because I couldn’t cope with the product envy – I had it for six months and every month I got the “cr*p” box ie completely different from the bloggers and lots and lots of shower gel that all smelled vv similar. It was always very slow delivery but it was the envy that got me in the end, and hubs also commented could you not just get something you ACtually like/want yourself with that money?

Glossybox has been bought over in Australia by Lust Have It. Luckily I never subscribed to them but bloggers here report the same problems as in the UK and Ireland…delayed boxes, boxes never turning up, and worse, certain bloggers bring sent ‘sample’ boxes to review which turned out to be WAY better than the actual boxes being sent out to ‘normal’ people. Their CS was apalling and the only thing they got right was charging people for boxes!

I subscribe to Lust Have It which are proving to be very good indeed and I Love This Box which has been mixed so far but still pretty good. They’re both $15 a month incl delivery.

Dauntless – I’m actually not the only one. Did a quick straw poll there and at least 10 ppl I know said they were very helpful.

Perhaps, in a bid to keep the postage costs down they have to choose the slowest snail mail there is hence the delayed delivery times.

Hmmm, I don’t think I have GlossyBox in my country. The most famous one here is VanityTrove. I have not subscribed to any of these boxes, and am actually thinking of subscribing up until I read your post and all those comments above. Hmmm.

I cancelled my subscription. I got sick of the 2-3 week delay in delivery and 3 of my boxes went missing and had to be resent. The box was never customised either.

Just unsubscribed GB, noticed they had taken the May box payment out from my bank already before i have recieved my april box!!!!!! Ridiculous!!!!! ALthough i am much love the monthly surprised treat, I had enough!
