LADIES! please help. I’m tearing my hair out trying to find a hairdresser for my wedding.
The wedding is in Ballina, Mayo and I’m really struggling to find a hairdresser that will come to my hotel. Can anyone please recommend a mobile hairdresser that doesn’t/ wont do the generic ‘scrape it back into a bun’ wedding look? Found a hairdresser (recommended) who is saying i have to go to her salon, but that mucks up the whole day’s timetable!

@the lady moved to London – try HOB salons (loads around London) – they are usually spot on, if a little pricey.

Nigel at Nigel & co in Kilkenny is brill I’ve been to so many places and have had some hairdressers complain into the mirror at me that I have too much hair- grrr, leaving me feel like I’m almost torturing them by having them do my hair ! Nigel and the gang there are great I’m always trying to organise my trips to see the mammy at the same time I make my appointment with Nigel

I wish I’d spotted this thread a few days ago. I’ve been going to Zeba, South William St for years. I recommend Richard and Anthony there for a cut, and my friend likes Fergus. But I left them and went to Style Club for my colour this week. I rate them equally at this point although I felt that the stylist at Style Club was better at listening to what I wanted and doing what I asked for.

Maureen Smith from Locks and Lashes situated in Lucy Loves Francis on Francis Street. She is magic Maureen. She specialises in Vintage styles as she works on film, but cuts hair, too. She is great in seeing what style suits your face.

John at Fusion in Dun Laoghaire for cuts- hes a wizard!!
8 of us from the hospital I work at go to Fusion!!!! They swear by having colours there…. I have not decided what to do about my increasing numbers of white hairs yet…

I’d highly recommend Dan at the Hairbox in Dun Laoghaire – a brilliant cut each time and he really listens to you (not always the case). A Very Famous author (not me) goes there also for her hair, must be good!

Plus one for Gillian Edgeworth in Temple Bar, Dublin.
The best cuts I’ve ever had from Gilian & fantastic, consistently great colour from Aisling.
She counselled my hair through a trauma received in the states, and when I lived in London I’d fly home just for an appointment.

Gillian does the greatest blow drys on earth. FACT.
