Hi ladies,

Sorry about the delay in replying to your queries, was on holliers last week and am just back in the land of the working broadband connection!

Aoife – it was a place called Beauty Boutique in Hampstead, but as I touched on in the above post (and expanded on in this one), I didn’t think much of the eyelash perm I had with them.

Mary – I had it done in London and can’t recommend a particular salon in Dublin for it I’m afraid as I haven’t tried it with any of them, BUT off the top of my head I know that Renew Aesthetic and Nu Essence both do microdermabrasion. I think Renew actually have it on special offer for €40 per session at the moment, and if I was in the city centre that’s definitely where I’d head.

It’s a pretty widespread treatment that a lot of salons in Dublin (and right across the country) offer, although some of them don’t advertise microdermabrasion for the back specifically. Often it’s just offered at X price for X minutes but that time can be used to work on the face or body.

This sounds great especially if it leaves your back all soft an luvverly! Luckily I only get a few blemishes around my shoulders but I’ve been using Clean & Clear exfoliating face wash on them and it seems to be working so far. I think wearing a vest top around the house (assuming it’s warm enough!) helps a bit too. Definitely try not to wear tops that are made of polyester or other man-made materials especially in summer, aside from being gross and uncomfortable they will not help any skin problems. I refused to wear the polyester uniform tops in my last job but I had a rash at the time so I had a pretty solid case when anyone mentioned it.

The contraceptive pill sorted out my back for years but I’m not on it anymore and they’ve occasionally reared their ugly little heads recently! Clearasil pads work wonders if you use them daily but this is of interest too. Sounds like a great treatment before a holiday/the summer in general/an occasion.

would definitely go for this lynnnie, I had awful bacne and shoulder acne when was a teenager, I used to never wear strappy tops or anything remotely revealing!
