I shyed away from mac over the last few years but recently picked up some eyeshadows in the airport, i can’t get over how bad they are! As soon as i look at them the top is covered in powder, the pigment takes a lot of building and they move. Won’t be too keen to get close to more!

I feel exactly the same about Mac. What happened to the company that brought out amazing things like Style Black, or the Wonder Woman collection, or….tons of the amazing things we’ve been given. They’re not giving us any edge now, they should have been chucking out brilliant matte lipsticks and brow palettes, instead we get boring rubbish every other week of repromotes. The only collection I have gone crazy for was Face and Body with the contour cremes. Otherwise, i’m actually surprised to say I am bored of mac.

I’ve gone right off Mac thanks to the sales staff, who the hell do they think they are?! And they’re the same in London and in Sydney! Rude out! Sorry, plenty of other (and better) brands out there.

I was actually looking forward to purchasing one of the kits but I really don’t want to anymore since it’s really nothing special. Lancome and Dior have brought out some amazing holiday collections. The colours from M.A.C are pretty drab, I figured they would have put in really pretty sparkly colours not their normal run of the mill ones. I will test them to see if anything does catch my eye in the end but Dior has my heart with their Grand Bal collection.

I have really gone of MAC lately and haven’t bought anything from them for a while, but what frustrates me the most is their pricing. I asked how much the lipgloss Christmas set are, they’re €37, but £25 in the UK which equals €32 give or take a few pence.

Hey EvieM, it’s definitely not one I’d wear every day but when you’re all glammed up, it’s the business!!! I think it’s the only lipstick I have ever re-purchased. I didn’t use up all the first one I had, just lost it (probably in some handbag or shoe(???) under the bed (I blame the kids) but couldn’t find it & couldn’t live without it either

Dollface I’ve actually always wanted to try Ruby Woo but I’m a wuss when it comes to red lipsticks, always feel like people are staring at me.

Mise they’re useless alright. Mandy O’Loughlin that did my makeup for my wedding used to work there years ago and she was lovely. She was also probably the last person to work there that actually knows what she’s talking about. Some of them haven’t a clue what they’re selling at all. I reckon they get hired cause they look cool & arty…passed through the other day, there’s a guy working there now…and from the look of him he’s as bent as an s hook (not that there’s anything wrong with that, tis just as plain as the nose on yer face…Jack from Will & Grace wouldn’t get a look in), dunno would I fancy taking makeup advice from a bloke.

I love Mac eyeshadows, a little expensive for me but totally addicted to them all the same, also love studio fix and skinfinish compacts, oh yeah and girl about town & ruby woo lipsticks!!! Guess I am a Mac fan after all……:-)

MAC foundation haters have u tried studio sculpt? After using studio fix fluid I was turned off but went to the states during the summer and found a proper sales assistant who matched me to studio sculpt nc15 and I am very very pale!
