shouldn’t you act “professional” too and just consider the so-called “copycats” as a compliment?

well, these picture says it all.

with that being said, i don’t mean to say one is the copycat of the other.
we are all familiar with the concept of “There’s-Nothing-New-Under-The-Sun” right?
fashion, as well as beauty trends are pretty similar ALL over the world. strike that. pretty much the same i think.
so it all comes back to your preferences.
which is a better “guru” for your style of make-up.
who is inspiring you more, because let’s face it, BOTH are brilliant but we wouldn’t wanna be another “copycat” , would we? we should have our own style and we must have our own staple products that actually suits our skin condition and our skin tone.

i also think it’s pretty presumptuous for one to claim one is more superior than the other in the same industry. even though it’s a dog-eat-dog world, let us not all be “dog” ?

First of all, I really love both Lisa and Pixiwoo. The thing is they follow the trends, and the trends are the same for everyone. They do the make up of icons, and the icons are the same for everyone. They are asked to do videos about problems almost everyone has, and almsot everyone has acne/blemish/scars. The techniques are pretty much the same ? Well, maybe these are the easiest techniques for us to apply the make up. We all like to know what products they use or would recommend, and they do videos with that also. We can go on like this forever. They are not the only ones doing the same kind of vids, the thing is THEY do it best. And who said she was talking about the Pixiwoo sisters ??????

Personally I think what Lisa did was extremely immature and almost cruel considering that she must have known what kind of reaction it would cause among her diehard fans. Lisa is clearly a very successful and talented artist, but the pixiwoo girls are also very successful in their own right, plus they have a huge following and hardly need to copy her to get views. Yes they’ve covered some of the same topics recently, and two acne videos were very similar, but perhaps Nic, being a makeup artist just thinks that’s just the best way to cover acne. As coco illustrated Lisa has also done videos on subjects that Sam and Nic had previously covered, and they never accused her of ‘copying’. Perhaps that’s because the understand that these things are bound to happen, as there are popular topics and looks that each artist will want to do their own video on. Also accusing them of copying her background… Are you flipping kidding me?? It’s a plain white backdrop for cheese and rice sake! I tried to get on board the ‘Lisa is awesome’ train, but now that my suspicions that she is a tad bid headed have been confirmed, I feel pretty justified in giving up on her now.

I think what may have bothered Lisa Eldridge was that in the Pixiwoo video they used pretty much the same tecnique and the product to conceal was the same (the vichy dermablend foundation) as the one she used in her video, and Sam and Nic had never talked about that product before. Just a thought…

Lisa didn’t said any names but she didn’t say it wasn’t about pixiwoo… and that will be very nice of her as they are being accused. In my opinion it’s about Pixiwoo, but she doesn’t have the balls to admit it now.

I have to be with Pixiwoo here, they’re all MUAs and the two products causing all the cufuff are widely used for those with acne / redness/ scarring or blemishes. Obviously a model was used since none of the MUAs in question actually have acne. Pixiwoo have had a white background since before Lisa was making videos.

Pixiwoo have made a life out of youtube and upload videos all the time, I like watching Lisa but she’s not half as regular. Pixiwoo are 100% honest about their association with AVON & Sam’s brushes (which for drugstore brushes made by EcoTools are fine for their price range) and keep it on a different channel however Lisa is always plugging No 7 who she designs for on her own channel which I have often been sceptical of to be honest.

Think it was very wrong of Lisa to take to FB like that, the beauty community should support each other and she could have contacted them privately. Blogging and YT can get so nasty but it’s all sharing for readers and watchers to benefit so if both channels have a different reach they what’s the problem with a similar video.

Nope, i made it. It actually took me less than 30 minutes because i have dual screens in my home office. Anyway; The reason i spent half an hour of my time to make it was because i think its really awkward for a big name like Lisa Eldridge, to officially go out and bash someone “smaller” like that. And as many others have said; an acne cover video is not exactly revolutionary. To recommend an Anti-Redness foundation, and a high coverage concealer made for acne cover is so basic. (Clinique and Dermablend make some of the most widely used ones). Im pretty sure Nic didnt mean to copy Lisa Eldridge and i feel sorry for her right now. As for the comparing of videos in the photo; My point is not that Lisa Eldridge is ripping off the Pixiwoos, its just to show that people will always make similar videos when it comes to makeup, and we never heard Sam or Nic attack someone. TL;DR: Lisa is being petty and the pixiwoo sisters aren’t.
