I was slightly disappointed they didn’t show the characters in the three-way split screen in the opening credits, I always liked that bit.
But wasn’t it DEADLY otherwise. Me and the hubby reminiscing about it all night during the ad breaks. I had to pretend to be asleep on the couch to be allowed watch it back in the day. And my parents would change channel when the rude bits came on.

It was fabulous!!Christopher was handsome and virtuous,John Ross was a bad egg but with charisma,exactly the same as their daddies back in the day.Swellin looked amazing,the theme music was amazing,and for me,the most amazing thing of all is that my own house is almost as big as southfork,as a child I thought it was the most massive mansion I had ever seen
I was a bit disappointed that Cliff Barnes didn’t make an appearance but delira to see my all time favourite cowboy Ray Krebbs made it home for the wedding.I loved loved loved it and can’t wait till next week.Please,please let them go to the oil barons ball before too long!!

I saw a bit of the film Dallas at the weekend, twas so funny. The skirts were shamefully short in an office setting..

At one stage bobby was introduced to a blond in a very short skirt and their eyes locked for 10 whole seconds. Then Sue Ellen had a puss on her cos she was meant to be having a drink with Bobby so stomped back to the office without having the drink.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who was bouncing up and down on the chair during the opening titles, screaming “OHMYGODITSTHESPLITSCREENANDTHEYELLOWLETTERSANDEVERYTHINGLOOOOKHONEYLOOOOOK!!!!” as Himself looked worriedly at my wine glass sploshing around perilously in my hand.

God I loved it though – everytime Bobby clutched his stomach melodramatically I cackled loud enough to wake the dog.

I didn’t get the chance to watch the old series, but it was an absolute phenomenon in my (non-English speaking) country as well. My mother, aunts and everybody from their generation still reminisce it from time to time, especially the “Who-shot-JR?” craziness! We even have a saying: When a lot of drama, back-stabbing, etc. occurs, we always says “It’s like Dallas!”. So, I’ll definitely watch it (not on TV but online).
