i'm the absolute opposite- going without a bra is painful for me, my back hurts within about five seconds and it feels like the skin on my sternum is pulling. i have a 38H chest which may be part of the problem, but still. Yeah so, my udders are always strapped up. at night to sleep i wear a looser bra without underwires, but i have to be harnessed up somehow to avoid back pain.

hi girls! alert alert alert!!!

now about those troublesome nipples a few of you mentioned.....

I was having a bit of a bother at work where I have to wear a white top. My new bras were a little thinner and so my nips were slightly visible.....hmmmm morto!!!!!

I purchased online a product called- 'DIMRS' (pronounced Dimmers)- they are coloured silicone nipple covers- you pop them onto your nips with a bit of water- your body heat makes them stick on and your bra further supports them. They dull down the colour of your nipples- great when you want to wear a light coloured frilly bra or have dark nipples AND they provide that contoured look. Oh Im so glad I have Dimrs- they are FAB and every girl needs a pair!!!

For those of you who want to hang freely after 6pm- you can get a version of DIMRS called Nipsticks- you use adhesive tape I think. So you can pop on a light teeshirt, do your titty-mambo dance and answer the front door.

I swear I don't work for Dimrs company! The product is so good I just had to tell you all about it!!!!
Break free girls!!!

Oh my god....I LOVE taking off my bra at the end of the day and I have a few big boobs friends who feel the same way....im a 32/34E and have the same problem no matter where and how often I get fitted I can never find a perfectly comfortable bra!! @Louise....Dianette gave my boobs a boost too at a young age...have been hearing good things about M&S bras must give them a go! My friend sometimes sleeps in her bra and I too cannot contemplate how she does it....and its not like its a nice soft un-wired one she sleeps in a super padded underwired monster! I shudder at the thoughts of it...so what if my boobs disappear under my armpits when Im in bed at least im comfy! haha! Wish I had nice little perky B/C cups and be able to go bra-less! HOORAY FOR BRA O CLOCK!!!!!!!

Am middle aged and big boobed- seriously, braless, they're swinging very low. That's not pretty or comfortable!

The crop top things or 'secret support' have me all squashed into a bizzare shape. It needs to be industrial type support round here!

Bravissimo fitting and freya bras work for me. I spend part of every visit to GB in a bra shop :)

I know it's wrong but I hardly ever take my bra off, even if they are the most uncomfortable I can't stand to have it all hanging free :(

I wear a DD and it's very hard for me to find decent bras my size for affordable prices down here, every time I manage to go abroad I always stuff my bags with bras, imagine the customs officers inspecting my luggage!

I used to do this all the time! Since I went on Diannete to treat acne at 14, Ive been a super unusual size-28E. Unsurprisingly I couldnt find this size around much. so I always had backache and felt like the gals were getting strangled, by wearing the wrong sized bra. I couldnt wait to get my flippin bra off at the end of each day just to be rid of the discomfort of the thing! I could so see why the feminists wanted to burn the feckers!

But Ive now taken to the net and found that most highstreet shops have an online pick up in store facility, so unusual sized folks like myself can order in and try on the unusual sized bras that they dont bother to stock in their stores.

The best one Ive bought so far was the M&S limited collection range. Specificly for those with unusual sizes:D Whether youre a 46AA or a 28F! The right fit makes all the difference! My chest feels weightless now, and I dont have to count down the hours til bra O Clock!

Bought about 15 bras this year as I was so uncomfortable all the time (not at all big, a B cup) Turns out I have a hernia right where the middle of the bra is between your boobs, unlucky!
Bra sometimes gets opened whilst still at work, but it's first thing off every evening, they end up all over the house!! Such repressive items :-(

I can't believe so many people have pain associated with bras, well I do believe it since people are saying it, guess I've just been lucky I'm a 36D at the moment and have had uncomfortable bras but only when I've changed size or underwires have stuck out, I'm now feeling guilty that other women might be in constant discomfort and I didn't consider this as a mitigating factor
