I HATE the small shelves in shops where they hang stuff like hair bobbles. I can’t look at them! My eyes get sore just thinking about them cos I’m convinced I’m going to get my eye poked out! Completely stupid but I hate them!

@squishywishy and betterinblack – ditto on the moths and butterflies – moths are worse though – don’t get me wrong, butterflies are seriously freaky, but moths are their undead zombie form, with their decaying wings and evil habits of flying AT you, and trying to nest in my hair to have zombie moth babies…

And here’s one that will amuse the average Beaut.ie reader – nail polish. The look, the smell, the colours (especially bad with glitter, patterns etc), and false nails – or anything stuck on a nail. I remember a friend forcing me to try nail varnish as a teenager and the FEEL of it on my nails – ick ick ick!

Dog poos. Any dog poo on the pavement makes my toes curl and I get very agitated if there’s one near our fence. I’m not back to normal until its gone. Eeee uuu yucky.
Needles. I feel weak at the knees thinking of it piercing open the skin splitting the skin and blood oozing out. My lips go numb with fear.

Spiders and cockroaches and earwigs!! EUGH. Had a spider in the kitchecn last week, had to drown it in Cillit Bang and couldn’t face removing it til hours later.

I also have a MAJOR fear of vomit. If someone even utters the phrase “I feel sick” I get palpitations and verge on a panic attack. I can’t listen to someone being sick and even seeing it in a film puts the fear of God in me and I feel awful for ages after. Rarely throw up myself and when I do it’s the worst thing EVER.

My most irrational fear is cheese. Absolutely petrified of cheese. Not so much if it’s cooked or melted into something but cheader cheese or slice of cheese. Or good God cheese strings.. I work in a shop which has a deli and even through the gloves I feel sick having to touch it. Even if someone is buying a block, inside the plastic, if I’m scanning it I physically shudder.

Stupid I know!

snakes…. i’ve got goosebumps just writing down the word!! also heights, but not all types of heights! I always have a panic attack if i or anyone gets close to the edge of a cliff. Or balcony.
It almost ruined my holiday in Lanzarote this year, we went on the bus tour around the volcanoes. Absolutely horrifying!

I don’t mind cotton wool pads but the fluffy cotton wool that you tear bits off of… Jesus, I’ve broken out in Goosebumps at the thoughts of it. I also have a thing where I HAVE to have some form of lip balm/gloss on me at all times – I sleep with some under my pillow. If I get dry lips, I feel really panicky, and I have no clue why or where it came out of!

People afraid of insects, you should get a cat. I have four cats and not only do they usually paw them to death, butt least they will alert you to their presence!

Thunderstorms! Specially at night. I know exactly why and how they happen, but they still scare the poop out of me.
Earthquakes. I wasn’t afraid before, but after experiencing an 8.8 earthquake, I’m terrified of even the really itty bitty ones.
